One line summary of your issue
Cant select and or add items in repair bay

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I started having this issue intermittently and thought it was graphical, but after obtaining the Argo and installing the second mech bay this seems to have become permanent.

When i go to the mech bay and attempt to refit a mech. I can take items away without too much issue, including grab and drop in the dismount and the remove all equipment button. However, when i got to drag a new item into the mech, I am 99% unable to do so.
some times i can grab the item from the left, but when i get past the item list it disappears (occasionally leaving an artifact of it on the screen - one of these is visible in the attachment near the bottom for an LRM15).
Frequently when i click the item and attempt to drag it will suddenly select a different item from the very briefly then disappear and then generate an empty white item box (visible at the top of the weapon select in the attached image).
Most frequently, when i select an item, it will disappear the moment i start to move it, and then the item will get a permanent gold box around it and henceforth be un-selectable at all. in some instances this will result in an additional empty gold box at the top of the item list (2 of these are visible in the attached image).
It does this for ALL of my current Mechs.

PC, windows 7 pro
i use steam.
game version is: 1.0.3-28OR
My graphics driver (nvidea) is up to date.
i have verified my game files through steam. I have attempted restarting the game. loading previous saves (not before argos). i have attempted storing a mech then bringing it out to try and fit it that way.
none of these correct the issue. though any restart of the game or reload of the save does reset the item window so that it no longer displays any additional empty boxes or artifacts (until they are generated again).
I did load this game (saves) on a Macbook Pro on 2 occasions early on in my play (ran so slow i never did it again), but not sure if that might be playing a part in this?

Steps to reproduce the issue
Unfortunately I do not have time to even restart this game, let alone figure out how to reproduce this reliably from a healthy state.

I also suffer from this affliction. I will try to place a heat sink or med laser for example and it gets stuck on the picture of the mech and will not go into a slot and will not go back to inventory. once this happens i cannot use that type of weapon as a move to mech or remove from mech but i can use other inventory things so it looks like the inventory slot locks up you cannot even click on it to choose another copy of it. i have to reset the mech and leave the bay and then come back in a start over, out of the thousands of times i have been in the mech bay it has happened 15 times or so.

I'll third this one. Seems to have started after the latest update. Removing components seems to work as you expect, but new components often 'disappear' while being dragged to their slots. They may end up in the removal bin? Other times there's graphical artifacts left on the screen - typically when dragging across the mech portrait. Rolling back to the mech bay and reverting changes solves the artifacting for me, but, as with the users above, I'm still persistently unable to add new components without an absurd number of attempts.

ETA: Worth noting I'm using an AMD card (R9280x) on 18.2.1
