Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When launching the game I get stuck on a black screen after going through the Harebrained Schemes, Paradox, and made with Unity screens. I still have a movable mouse pointer and i also have a FPS counter in the top right corner of the screen. It sits on that screen no matter how long you wait (clicking anywhere on screen or hitting esc does nothing). Multiple reloads of the game and opting into and out of Beta have not helped.

Not sure why you linked dxdiag.txt six times?

What we actually need is the game log (depending on which game version you have):

The linking 6 times was frustration based, noticed right after finishing but I wasnt able to fix before having to leave for RL commitments. I am curious about the game logs since it appears I don't have any. I''m good to the common but no BATTLETECH folder which surprised me.

Well according to that you don't even have the game installed :)

Most likely you have installed it in a different Steam Library on another drive. Right-click on the game in your Steam Library, Properties, Local Files, Browse Local Files.

For this, Go into C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\BATTLETECH and delete the file profiles.dat .

Good question, deleted and emptied the recycle bin so I have no way to double check. I potentially could restore but considering the trouble that little file caused I'm leaving it to die a horrendous death. Who knows.... after a night of Christmas shopping it may have just been me missing a digit on the cut and paste.

For this, Go into C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\BATTLETECH and delete the file profiles.dat .

Hello AndrewT

Deleting this file has just solved the problem of "black screen" that does not start the game, apparently this happened to me because the application was closed incorrectly (PC turned off due to lack of power) I presume that perhaps the file has been corrupted . After deleting the file when loading the game the only detail is that my account connected to Paradox came out as disconnected, I only had to enter my user again and it was granted normally, I have restarted the game and it has reloaded quickly.

This problem of the "black screen" happened to me just yesterday and I have acquired the game about a week ago and it had been all normal until the game closed badly.

I hope I can help this information.
