Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After the automatic download and install of 1.7 update on steam, i tried to start the game . Everything go as usual until unity logo fades. A white changing number appears on upper right corner of the screen and the game never starts, even though the mouse arrow change from windows standard to what is seen in the game.

Start the game and wait.

Attach DxDiag (PC), System Info log (Mac), or run sudo lshw -html > specs.html and uploaded specs.html (Linux)

Attach Output Log

I installed Battletech 1.7 on my wife's computer that runs a Core I5-4670k and a GTX 1060, the game started up. Her computer has never had the game installed on it. I'm doing compares on the 2 machines now to see if there is a difference in patches/files.

I have the same problem, but I have never install a MOD of any type. I played this game last year, 2018 and uninstalled it. I just got Flashpoint with Humble and thought I would try the game again so I reinstalled it, plus Flash Point, but when I start the game after the splash screens I just get a black screen with white numbers in the upper right corner (FPS?) and that's as far as the game will load.

I am going to update this a bit, seeing that I have made a couple small changes to my PC since I last posted them. (removed malware bytes, and a couple other programs) Been playing 1.6, and decided to try 1.7 again today. I did a complete uninstall of all files including the regedit files. Re-downloaded everything, and tried 1.7 again. Same results. I even went as far as to try to rename the AVProVideo.dll, and even tried the cccp codecs. Same results. Black screen with the FPS counter in the top right. With Heavy Metal on the horizon, I hope a fix can be found. Weird, 1.6 works fine, 1.7 does not. Something changed that our systems do not like.

I have tried to start the game three times since the re-install.

Same results. I killed all of the NVidia processes, I tried to disable my AV, and then even completely remove it, still had the black screen with the FPS counter.

0) working game

1) buying of season pass from Steam
2) autoinstall of BT:SP by steam app
3) update of nVidia experience to official latest version
4) update of nVidia drivers to official latest version via nVidia experience & reboot

5) game run only to FPS counter

Same results. I killed all of the NVidia processes, I tried to disable my AV, and then even completely remove it, still had the black screen with the FPS counter.

I have no 3rd party antivirus or firewall software installed - just Microsoft Security Essentials and have same problem ... my opinion is that the right clue will have sometihing to do with nVidia experience and their overlay (live game top moments auto-capture) OR steam and their overlay (live projection of game to other steam users) OR combination of these factors.

All we did is go from 1.6.2 to 1.7, and the game stopped working. Something in the game changed, and they keep asking us to fiddle around with our anti-virus. Makes no sense.

Oh well. Just decided to build a new system, and should be ready to rock in about 2 weeks. This better work....LOL
