I think we should discuss this a bit before playing cards. Mayhaps you can use your once per game power on this one, or Starbuck might be so inclined. On the other hand it is only one morale and the partial pass is only 9. I could add one strong card without reducing my hand to only one card (forcing me to discard that card). This might also be the time for a guts and initiative if we can scrounge enough cards to make the check.
Once per games might be better on more critical checks. In theory it is possible that due to drawing so many engineering cards I could help us out by making such cards usable on this check. In theory.
Kriszo, jacob and Slinky, you are the ones with plenty of cards. I would not use Starbuck's ability on this one but YMMV. It would be very nice to pass, sure, but it is not absolutely neccessary.
So to recap, I can play one strong card, kriszo can contribute a little and jacob-Lundgren could make engineering count positive. This would leave us still at the mercy of the destiny deck to get to a meager total of 9. Seeing how hesitant everyone is to do anything, I think it best to just fail this skill check. Still it's a bit of a puzzler how we can't seem to pass this with 15 cards at our disposal.

I just don't have any of those colors. Best I can do is use a lot of resources to make it slightly more likely we pass it. But then if the next has a certain color in its check... I think the last game failed in part because they didn't know when to tank a check or 2 and rebuild their hands. DD has even already dumped one engineering card so that even further limits the odds of my move helping us.

You see, all I have is 1 LEA card to help, which is weak. I'm full with PIL, but that doesn't help us right now. I don't even draw POL, and only 1 optional LEA.
So 1 strong and my weak wouldn't have a chance passing this on its own, and unéess we play for DD luck (which we shouldn't, there are more negative cards in it):

Nope. I just was busy, cleaning up rooms, getting baby stuff from the attic, etc.
Kaetje's 2nd baby isn't far off now. 2-4 weeks, maybe 6 at most
Besides, I've been reading a lot of book this week. I have the week off so have sort of taken time off, away from the infernal machines.
edit: I know I haven't been maintaining this game at the usual breakneck pace you folks are used to, but really, it's no slower than Jacob's game was
Next week I'll probably fire up the old game engine again, when work starts back up and I am compelled to spend a ton of time behind computers ;-)
I use my OPG to grab the president & admiral title. Then I'll go to sober up before the GM sends me the stuff.
Manipulative -- Once per game, you may take the Admiral or President title at the start of your turn. Return that title to its previous owner at the end of your turn.
