Experienced HOI3 players know what i am talking about. The human player will always be better than the AI. I cannot count the number of times when the AI in HOI3 left harbors practically undefended, how it would chase down a hole in my lines when i made room for it, just so i could push from the rear and trap units. The AI was dumb.
With the Battleplan system in HOI4 i believe the developers has made a great change that could benefit the AI. By making the player gain a huge planning bonus when doing battleplans the player most often cannot live without them. They are to powerfull. Battleplans effectively draw a sketch on:
If we forget for a moment that the mechanic for espionage on Battleplans was discharged - the player, when doing Battleplans actually writes down how he wants to move, where and with how many. This could be used to make the enemy AI better. The AI could counter this by reinforce frontlines where the player has drawn Battleplans and not let it self be trapped.
I am sure PDS is using this for the AI or else they should.
