Hey everyone, I was simply going through a few of my decks and found myself often asking myself a simple question. Are the grenade infantry worth a slot in all or perhaps any deck at all? I am specifically speaking about the squads that typically have about 5 men with access to HE grenades, not AT grenades. Any input is valued, thanks.

Hey everyone, I was simply going through a few of my decks and found myself often asking myself a simple question. Are the grenade infantry worth a slot in all or perhaps any deck at all? I am specifically speaking about the squads that typically have about 5 men with access to HE grenades, not AT grenades. Any input is valued, thanks.

Depends on their vet. The higher the vet, the less morale damage they take until they get to their intended target, and the less damage they take overall.

Well sure but is a 2 vet or 1 vet engineer squad with grenades worth a slot over a 2 vet or 1 vet squad of grenadiers or riflemen?

Can you post your deck on imgur so I can take a look at it? It depends on your overall composition and your intended purpose for those units. What game modes are you playing? What division are you using?

Speaking of which, I should do a deck tutorial sometime.

So for instance, this 3rd Armored Deck. http://imgur.com/a/Yj40u I don't play a lot of Spearhead but for the infantry section in Phase B, Would it be better to take a second Arm. Rifles or Arm. LMG Rifles over that Eng. Leader? Or is that leader with HE grenades and command going to be worth that slot? Additionally, lets say the Eng. leader didnt have command, would it still be worth the slot?

It depends on the deck and what other units they have acess to and if they are have any stars or not. With the 15th Scotts I always take a squad of assault pioneers. If u go on YouTube u can find a lot of deck building videos everyone has different opinions though. VulcanHDGaming, Hesko and Stealth17 Gaming are just a few. I will try to find several videos about a deck usually to get a better idea.

Ah, I wouldn't bother with 3rd Spearhead. I think you'll find most encounters in the city to be quite one-sided, especially when having small-man, unvetted engineers. You're better off with just armored rifles. Just concave and surround the town, nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

When theres lack of Inf I try to limit my leaders and use alternatives like the command tanks and command vehicles in support here:

not claiming this is the perfect deck havent played 3rd armored in ages but you maybe get the point

Leader in A is a must cause of 50 cal truck and so you at least have some Inf leaders

Are those A20 Commands really worth their slot? I get the command in A is useful but I have always felt they are really overpriced.

Captain: I mainly watch Vulcan out of the few I listed of the top of my head. I find his videos to be the best by far and he knows what he's talking about. but if u know of any youtubers who are more knowledgeable please let me know.
