Stuck at make profile - profile already exists

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Loaded game for first time. Logged in my pdox account. Tried to save my first game profile. At first it reported an error connecting to pdox. From that point forward, further save attempts indicated a profile already exists, but I could not go back or exit without Alt-F4.

Follow up.

Reloading the game and logging back into pdox account appears to work as intended with the profile I tried saving above.

Same here, couldn't even exit the game. Worked ok when I restarted.
