Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I have purchased the game and it shows up in my list of games. However I get an error stating "Could not download installation metadata" when I attempt to install the game. This occurs even when the Paradox launcher is "Run as Administrator".

Steps to reproduce the issue
1. Launch the Paradox Launcher.

2. Log-in.

3. Attempt to install BATTLETECH.

4. Receive "Could not download installation metadata" error.

My download got stuck at patch 6/7. I restarted and it appears to have lost everything. Back to downloading dependencies.

Is there a recommended procedure to get a clean download?

Update:
The game completed download (possibly running as Admin helped), however, the Campaign mode gets stuck after the first mission. Should I try to uninstall/reinstall?

Support suggested that I "Run as Administrator", but that didn't work. I will try doing a clean uninstall/install tonight and see if that works.
