IRRC most of Western Europe is thoroughly islamicized by then. Most of the other colonization was made by Prussia as far as we know. Maybe people were were escaping from both sides the Infinite War between Prussia et al and the caliphate taifas?This is just a guess, but it might be people getting scared of the Islamic tide, and running away to escape it.
