Clarify the question. If you speak of the marking - it's because naming things you don't like useless and pathetic is low-style.

The question is quite clear! And I said they were *almost* useless - Improve Relations has its contextual uses, while Sow Dissent is mostly... well, when your Spymaster has nothing else to do.

Ha. This always* happens. New features are announced right after I start a game somewhere I would have later gotten good use out if them. I played on the east edge of India right before Jade Dragon and now I've just reformed a pagan religion. Sux 2 B me LOL.


*by always I mean twice in a row but that feels like always

why should i pay for dlc thats adds things that the fans made years ago? This feels almost like a slap in the face to them.
Ehh, it's true but at least now I can pretend I'm playing HiP but with achievements on, so nobody is calling me cheater (because as soon as you change something in game rules or mod anything, PDX calls you a cheater in indirect way - and disables achievements).
Be prepared for new feature of vanilla ck2: 4 factions, glory, tradition...

I had, but the odds of rebellion are far too low to be a meaningful part of my strategy - or anyone's strategy; never saw someone claim that "Sow Dissent" saved their asses.

Most likely new interactions, though, as boosting would be more appropriate in a free patch rather than DLC.

Hmm, I agree with you here. Selling a buff to these jobs wouldn't be cool.

If new (universal) interactions are coming, I think that's another plus for those who don't play much as Catholics or Pagans.

I’m interested in th legendary bloodlines tidbit, as there are a few mods like the descendant one.

Though I’m curious if this will extend to all dynasties if they have one great ruler. Definitely improves Immersion for characters descendended from ahistorical player-controlled conquerors of vast land.

Or perhaps people who have very high stats of one sort or another- say a character who has a high diplomacy rating and lives a long and relatively peaceful reign? Or someone who makes a great discovery or leaves a trail of bodies behind them as they stab people in the back?

Holy orders coulf be done with dynasties. It has houses like a merchant republic but you cant breed them. You have to invete members of your dynasties from your relatives in feudal realms. In this case also bastards count. Inside the HO you habe elections. A combinations of piety, prestige, Success in Battle and bribes influemce the electors.

But if HO would be part of this DLC they would already have mentioned it. So I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

I'm happy to see CK2 getting some love, but to be honest half of the feature list seems copied from CK2+ mod. I'm sure things will be done more professionally by PDX, but still...

I mean, is that too surprising at this point? With all the stuff the game does have, and the things it legitimately needs from the Developers themselves, it's only a matter of time they start doing things that Modders have already managed in some way shape or form.

why should i pay for dlc thats adds things that the fans made years ago? This feels almost like a slap in the face to them.

I can see where your coming from this, and agree to a point, but allow me to offer this counterpoint-

Paradox adding these sorts of features allows them to do so in ways the modders can't to do certain aspects of the game code. Not only that, but with a mod, there's always the ever present worry that someone key to the mod (especially if only one is involved) may eventually drop the mod or just vanish, and thus is unable to update the mod for the game as it gets updates and patches.

I do think some of this is stuff that should have been in though earlier though.
