That's just great; I can cross several things from my internal wish-list. I still wish for Mali rework for example.

However, one thing caught my attention. Are there actually two face packs? Reason for suspicion is that there is one kind of hat for Polish duke-tier guy and different for Croatian duke-tier guy (coronet). As far I know standard is one duke-tier hat by portrait pack. Anyway, looking forward for Hungarian portraits one day too.

By the way, I always wondered what's the inspiration for the strange angular Anglo-Saxon empire-tier crown. Mr. North made it, and he does his research...

Fourth Crusade? The pope was against it, but it happened.

It seems like I havent been understood, I am not historical ignorant, I know what happened during 4th crusade, but that crusade was led against muslims, The fact that Venetians bribed some dudes and byzantine emperor didnt pay some dudes is different thing. What I wanted to say is, that instead of directing crusades against fellow christians directly, things like sack of constantinople and other things could be done by some sort of event, same with if crusading armies walked trough provinces that had barony jewish town modifier causing it to dissapear etc.

Eastern Europe is going to be a fun place to play in.
Now we just need inland republics and a trade route...

The option for pagans to make a church of their mythic beliefs bugs me in CK2 games; it's anachronistic and turns the crusade into a battle between Catholics and syncretic pseudo-Christians (sans Christ). I always turn off pagan "Reformation" -- I hope this expansion will have plenty to offer in the Northern Crusade otherwise, and will be interesting for players who only play with the "old" pagans. Is it possible for the original, historical pagans to actually win the war? I'm looking forward to it.

This is all fantastic. That's all I can say.

I hope Orthodoxy/Nestorianism/Miaphytism gets access to some of the things that Catholiciam gets.

But really, all of this is great. Looking forward to seeing what the bloodlines are like.

The Old Gods is what really hooked me on Crusader Kings, because pagans.

So one can imagine that I'm fairly happy with the promises this new DLC makes.

That said, I hope the pagan bits of this DLC are going to flesh out all the various pagan faiths, not just my beloved Germanic. West African especially is in need of some serious love.

And then there's the sort-of-but-not-exactly quasi-pagan faiths. Zun, Bön, arguably Zoroastrianism. Are they gonna get anything out of this DLC as well?

Oh well. Still excited about this.

I assume these features are certain for Germanic, Slavic and Suomenusko pagans.

Can you add another late game start? like f. example when lithuania is finally christened, or another date around that time?
All the dates from something 1066 to something 1337 are playable, and having a later start with an obligatory end in 1453 is useless.
The option for pagans to make a church of their mythic beliefs bugs me in CK2 games
It's not ahistorical though. Vladimir before Christianization reformed Slavic Pagans.

I agree, paganism becoming an organized religion rather defeats the "point".

I just find it odd that it's the main feature according to marketing. The features as a whole in fact seem rather scattershot, if welcome.

1337 is the last possible start date (the Hundred Years War start date).

Also, as you said (but lots of people don't realize), you can scroll through dates by clicking on the arrows by the date at the top of the screen when you are choosing a starting character after hitting "custom start"). That's how you can play as any of the dates in between. Be aware that sometimes it causes weirdness if you scroll "backwards" in time (e.g. people flipping religions), so it's best to start from before the date you want and scroll forward until you get there. That's how I play, for example 1077 (my favorite start date).

Sway or Antagonize Your Neighbors: Try to win a reluctant vassal through charm and persuasion, or provoke someone you want to push into conflict.

Anyone got a clue on what this mean? We already got the (almost useless) councillor jobs to charm vassals (Improve Diplomatic Relations) and to provoke them (Sow Dissent). Will they get buffed, or are we getting all-new features with these jobs remaining pathetic?
