For some odd reason "borrow money from the moneylenders" -event has fired for members of my court. It don't help me at all, if some courtier gets all that shiny gold. :(

Aren't the courtiers also "in the red" at the time, thus taking them out of it?

it also has an outrageous value. Courtiers with no inheritence with thousands of gold.

Yeah, and there is absolutely no downside for you. If you have a courtier who has one of your vassals or so as heir, you can take the loan without even thinking about it and some years later your vassal will be ultra-rich and able to afford a lot of province improvements.

Yes, I always choose to loan the money, maybe if I am lucky I or one of my heirs will inherit that money at some point.

There are no downsides for me, except that I'm as broke as before. I believe that this event was planned to solve monetary problems of a ruler. Now it fires to some useless courtiers, who already have enough money and makes them filthy rich.
