With the war going so well, matters in the papers at home were turned to more personal matters - rumours that the General was no longer with his official campaign wife were swiftly rubbished, with a 9 page spread of the happy couple put in the newspapers. When a reporter questioned him about meeting numerous ladies for drinks, visiting them abroad etc the reporter suddenly found himself clearing a minefield just outside Dresden.

A quick check on Soviet progress is alarming..
So steps are taken - it being quicker to drive than go buy a train (a story not to disimilar to modern day Britain).
December 8th, 1943 - December 9th, 1943
The destruction of German forces continues - the survivors are bombed into oblivion (insert another TES.IV reference which went straight over all your heads last time).
08:00 - 09:00 December 9th, 1943
However we run into stiffer opposition in the North - it quickly becomes apparent we won't win so we call off the attack.
December 10th, 1943
Tech.

We arrive in Schweinfurt.
14:00
We push onwards further south.

We arrive in Dresden.
