After 8 hours victory is ours. Again the Republic juggernaut begins to roll, bringing more tax paying subjects back under our heel.

Advanced forces arrive in Siauliau. Speed is of the essence here, rather than doing slower co-ordinated arrival attacks.

Another phase begins. We are giving the Germans no chance to rest - now they know what it feels like!
19:00 June 6th, 1943 - 05:00 June 7th, 1943
We conquer in Memel, but Siauliau is attacked and the advanced forces defeated. This is not a problem - there will still be a link to Memel, and sufficent forces to hold it.
12:00 June 9th, 1943
We arrive in Memel, trapping some German forces in the North.
04:00 June 11th, 1943
We aim to reduce the pocket in Mazirbe.

After 13 hours the 4 enemy divisions are wiped out. The HQ allow themselves a small HUZZAH! before getting back to the task in hand.

3 hours later worrying news: 13 enemy divisions retake Siauliau. Note Soviet progress further south.

Two hours later the decision is taken to try and force the Germans back out of Siauliau, mainly so I don't have to keep trying to spell it.

Maybe there will be a small civil war after the Germans are defeated? USSR would create a commie Lithuania and support it like North Korea/commies during greek civil war... That would be nice.

Everything is under control, have no fear.. the only minor problem is a small thing called NO MANPOWER!!!
And no manpower means we have to fill the ranks of our fallen comrades with chickens and cows...
Anyways, looks like an altogether successful offensive. Let the Republic's armies march in Konigsberg once more!

The attack is easily brushed aside after 4 hours.

More upgrades. Note the Germans attempt to reinforce Siauliau.

This is eventually settled in our favour.

We try a probing attack against Konigsberg.

We call it off to await the troops in Siauliau. No need to waste men and material struggling to dislodge the Germans.

An hour later the troops arrive. A brief period of rest for us, round the clock bombing for the Germans. Sounds fair to me.

We try again to retake Konigsberg, seen of so much bitter fighting last year. Some of the veteran troops despise the city, remembering their fallen comrades.

After 17 hours of hard fighting, the ancient capital of Prussia falls. But will history repeat itself? Will it turn into another Verdun?
