Hello.

Just downloaded the latest TRP a few nights ago and I'm really enjoying it. Playing as Germany, I've had to defend against a few very enjoyable invasion attempts into occupied Europe. Well done!

I was curious if anyone else had run into a Yugoslavian-Turkish-Greek Alliance? It was somewhat unexpected but quite a bit of fun. The Italians are locked in a huge war with this alliance - swallowing Yugoslavia in a year and now grinding away at the Greeks. I actually haven't allied with the Italians yet as I was concerned that there may be some event that would make the Soviets trigger-happy earlier than expected due to my interference with Turkey. It's definitely had an impact on my playing style. (Fun!)

From a historical perspective, I was just suprised that Greece and Turkey teamed up. Is there a TRP event that brings the two countries together?

I had no idea!

I just did some checking online regarding this Balkan Pact. The articles I checked are a little vague on how the pact ended. Obviously, during the real war, Turkey didn't declare war against Italy after their invasion of Greece. Did the pact end at some point or just slowly unravel as German influence crept into the Balkans?

Also, in the particular game I'm playing, Italy is not fighting the Allies yet, just the signatories of the Balkan Pact. Does TRP have events associated with the Allied guarantees of Greek Independence?

Once again - great mod. I'm really enjoying it.

Its a historical setup they where all actually allied in 1936.

Actually it was not an alliance. It was more of a political pact. The reason for it being written and singed was to end all territorial claims between Greece, Turkey, Romania, and Yugoslavia and to promote peace between these nations.

OK, but you still haven't answered Liverhead's question. When did the alliance dissolve?

Same thing Political Pact is an Alliance in HoI terms.

I am not going to argue about that against you. What I meant was that it is not correct to call that an alliance in historical terms, or create an alliance between those nations in the game. It could have been left out.

The alliance will stay in the game as it represents the true situation of the time and prevents a human Italian player from trying to pick off countries in the early years. The alliance disappers I believe in 1939.
