Ck2 was one of my favourite strategy games because it was more of a history simulator than any other strategy game I played before and i liked that very much.
But the more i played the game the more it bothered me that it's just a blob-to-infinity-simulator. your vassal and demesne limit doesn't matter at all. If it exists or not is not important for immersion and balanced gameplay.
For example: you have the King-Title of Italy, a stewardship of 10 and a steward with 10 stewardship aswell. Now Your demesne limit is 10 and your vassal limit is 40 (with no laws changed). This means you can have half of italy under your personal control plus 40 duke vassals each owning 4-5 provinces under your control which is basically half of europe under your control without any restrictions or difficulty. (Only with a King title, not even emperor title) This is neither realistic nor balanced in my opinion. So basically the only thing stopping your from blobbing into infinity is another ruler who blobbed bigger than you.
Now you could say "you can change the vassal and demesne limit in the game rules".
That's true but it doesn't change the problem, as nomads don't get affected by vassal limit. This means when you lower the vassal and demesne limits in the game rule nomads are incredible overpowered. They just horde the shit out of the world map and the only thing that stops them is other nomads that blobbed bigger then them.
So basically same problem as already described.
This is so immersion breaking for me that I stopped playing the game.
I don't know if it's possible to easily fix this issues or if fixing this issue is even wanted but I wanted to state my opinion about this facts and that it bothers me a lot.
Sorry for the long post.
Sincerely,
A broken hearted ck2 fan
