Are you sure it is a good idea to give Austra more cores, or more cultures? Having all of those in addition to even Dutch can create a monster in there. Also, I'm not sure that the Ottoman Empire should have more then Orthodox tech. Technically, one can say that they min-maxed with a focus on land, because by 1615, they were definitely far behind in Infra and Trade. All you're going to do is create another monstrosity there that Muslim-tech Timur will have no chance against. Also, will this Timurids still have the infamous breakup events? I'd forgotten about those. Nation killers.

2) Veneto - if it gets Trade tech 3
3) Burgundy
4) Timurid - Not if it gets the Timurid Breakup events
5) England. I guess.

The tech costs are enormous for the first part of the game, and the Ottoman Empire was well ahead in most fields into the 16th century.

Keep in mind that we have a 1337 start and the Turks don't start with their usual tech advantages (nor should they, in their infancy). Latin until 1568, it seems to me, is necessary. Orthodox at the very least.

As far as the Timurids, I forgot to add. Their events will be slept and they'll be bumped to Ortho as well. If they're played.

EDIT: Ah, and Austria is only having its usual cultures restored. Hive removed them, presumably, as a gesture to historicity and on the assumption (erroneous, as it turned out) that other countries would be limited to the same degree. If England has French, which it must have, and the Turks have Arabic, Austria with Magyar, Slavonic, Slovak and Czech is pretty reasonable.

It is pretty reasonable. The only exception, IMO, is the Dutch culture. That represents a formidable source of manpower and income that Austria will be very loathe to give up.

Thats why I was thinking giving a large German-cultured nation like Austria, the Dutch culture, may not be conducive to them surviving.

Though, I must say. It'd be somewhat interesting to create a game with no cores and only one culture.

Hum... I must remember you that there´s a year or more I dont play EU. I will also try a lonely game this weekend to get some practice again.
HG, I put England and France as last options but maybe those should go to more experienced players It´s only that I love those two countries, hehehe. So, If needed I can chose Venice instead of France (and get my chances with England ).

Heh. Thats a tough one in this scenario. Just look at the Chill 3 screenshots; the map tends to get so unhistorical that the weirdest nations need fleets (my Turkowy, for example).

... It starts at 7:30 Eastern Time (EST). Do a search for world time clock and go from there. Eastern time is New York Time.

Regarding adding cultures. Will the Dutch have German and French added as cultures. Would be conducive for early Dutch expansion while the Franch and Austrians and Brandenburgers are still small enough to not pose an overwhelming threat.

Additionally, regarding sliders. It might be fun to lock all sliders allowing movement only via event.
