And no, land does not help low MP countries. That's utter nonsense. As for the rest, we've addressed all that in the host. Nobody agrees with you and yet you demand your own way.

My final say on all issues

The land slider is not mentioned in this thread in any post, let alone the first one. There are in fact no rules mentioned.

I had no oppurtunity for consultation on the rules as I joined late and the rules are not posted to be viewed.

I don't like the rule, I don't agree with it but I will play with it.

I don't appreciate your attitude HG, you said you would give me a chance but already i am being accused of whining. It is not whining to put forward your views in an assertive manner. Which I did, what I didn't appreciate was your arrogance that your opinion is of course the correct one and that mine is by default wrong. But nm the group wants the rule and I will play with and not bring it up again. But you will adress me with respect and by my new nick, I am not LE anymore, she is gone along with the whining and bitching.

I do not tolerate arrogance and condecension especially not from men and certainly not from men on the internet.

In any event, it would probably be a good idea to use the first post of the thread to include all links to stats pages, all rules that the game will require, and other kinds of information for quick easy reference.

My host seemed to go ok, if a little slow with the europeans and camisa. But camisa has a slow conn so I think hed be slow to connect with everyone to be honest.

Also once the game is actually moving a large part of hosting is how quickly your computer can process everything. I think I am safe in saying I have the best computer out of all of us speed wise.

I should note that HG was the thrid one to show status ok , so maybe he will work with me?

er not that my computer is slow... its a PIV with 256 mb (thats the problem, i believe). Anyways i thought it was much more slow to connect with BB than the other hosts. After connection Iam stable, even if with a little lag.

Venetian ambassador to the Ottoman Sultan

My dear Sultan,

Words were listenend in the republic that the Sultan said that Ionia and Corfu are ottoman lands.

Considering that such islands are under the direct control of Venice (and Corfu before was under the control of other italians) and that the good greek people from there are catholic, we believe its Venetian duty to protect those citizens of the republic and really dont believe such words of war do have come from the sultanate.

We do not understand why the sultan gives so much valour to those greek catholic islands. We believe the sultan has much more land to look for at the east and at Africa, wich are muslim lands. And that those lands are much more rich than our poor islands holdings.

But we believe in diplomacy and are prone to make arrangments with the sultan about our spheres of influence in the Aegan.

Yeah you is right, africa is worth more but I really hate allowing a potetial enemy to have bases anywhere near me, I am very interested in aquiring the 3 med islands and to stake a claim on Rhodes.

Well, the only means by wich you will acquire those venetians islands are war. As long as Venice has those islands we do not have interest in more land at the balkans, so we are not a potential enemy.

But as OE tries to take those venetians islands, then we will be a real enemy.

Anyways, we remember the sultan of the Anatolian Empire, that the custs for taking those islands will not be worth their value, specially cause it will take long for the Ottomans to expand in other more lucrative areas, like Africa.

So, our proposition is the mediterranean islands are Venetian zone of influence and OE will recognize that. In the other hand, Venice will recognize the Ottoman claim to the greek continental lands.

About Rhodes and Cyprus, we agree to consider Cyprus Ottoman zone of influence, in exchange for the Ottomans recognition of Rhodes as Venetian zone of influence, meaning that we wont interfere in Cyprus and OE wont interfere in Rodhes.

With your balkan/aegan frontier pacified, we are sure that the sultan will have very lucrative expansion in other regions.

This is not the problem I think. I host easily 12 people on my P4 1.8 GHz with only 256mb. We can play at normal speed without lag. I have a 600k upload.
