Quarantine hasn't been nice. I started a Timurids AAR but never finished it (quarantine and online learning are demanding mistresses). We are GOING to finish both runs. Hell or high water, coalitions be damned. Bahmanis run comes first, and I've got experience there now. Time to take provinces and kick ass. Lots of it.
This will probably be my last run in 1.29, next run will more than likely consist of 1.30 moments and maybe that new DLC.

Let's dive in.

20200604104148_1.jpg

We open up with the usual steps. Now we know what the Jains can do (dip power), we give them influence. Fun tactic: Up the influence of the Jains. Debase, then have the Jains investigate corruption. Money for free.

20200604104157_1.jpg

Policy is efficient taxation. If I were the Timmies, I'd choose lenient taxation.

20200604104203_1.jpg

We take decisions. Our ruler starts off pretty strong, a 4/4/5. His son is a 3/3/4.

20200604104713_1.jpg

Our general startup is legendary. 4/1/2/2 as our ruler, and a 3/2/2/1 general. Heir is a potato general, so he doesn't receive field command. Again, those rivers we can cross without penalties, totally needed.
Help, I'm drowning in sarcasm.

20200604104824_1.jpg

Rivals. Vijay, Jaunpur and Guj become our rivals. Idea is to make Orissa happy, declare on Vij and call them in with false promises.

20200604104956_1.jpg

50 admin power and 46 ducats go to a good cause: +.5 yearly prestige and +25% local defensiveness. Makes our capital more resistant, and prestige because that makes morale of armies go up.

20200604105317_1.jpg

We recruit to forcelimit. Idea is to take back our cores that Vij has. We make invasion preparations, assign generals and wait for morale ticks.

20200604105413_1.jpg

Orissa flips to friendly over common rivals. We ally + RM Orissa to secure them.

20200604105504_1.jpg

And off we go. Can't call Orissa in because "not enough favours" and "doesn't want their land". You rivalled them, so naturally you should be dying to kill them, yet you won't go in? You do you, buddy.

20200604105726_1.jpg

This isn't going as planned. They're deathstacking our forts while we have a neighbouring deathstack. We restart. I'm not playing cat and mouse.

20200604113758_1.jpg

That's better. Ally Mewar, false promise of land on Gujarat who allied TPM Mewat and Sindh. Vij would accept (even though they aren't guaranteeing or allied. Can't be WAD). Orissa rivalled us, so we can't move south. Yet. Time to move north.

20200604114241_1.jpg

They're at war with Kutch, too. They have a vassal, which we can steal. You know where this is going. Time for a vassal swarm.

20200604114429_1.jpg

Off they go, and off we go.

20200604114623_1.jpg

We move into Thana into Baglana into Surat into Bharach. We have the numbers.

20200604115118_1.jpg

Mewar gets a wall breach on their capital. Gujarat finishes their war with Kutch, and take Kutch + Rajkot in the deal.

20200604115148_1.jpg

Khoramabad falls, Mewar attacks Rewa Kantha. We can peace out soon.

20200604115356_1.jpg

Sindh tries a naval invasion. Risky move, we move to intercept and we catch them in Baglana. Our king-general is a great general in general (heh)

20200604115606_1.jpg

Rip Bastar, they fell to Orissa. Mental note made about the new border.

20200604120031_1.jpg

We peace out. We force Gujarat to revoke their core on Gorwar, retake Thana and transfer vassalage of Khandesh from them to us.

Not sure what to do next. Could invade into Andhra into Orissa and go from there.
Or we could move into Vij into minors and take them out.
Hmmmmm.

We rival Orissa back. Bengal rivalled them as well. Gujarat is now invalid, so improving with Bengal should hopefully allow us to get the work done on Orissa.

20200604120122_1.jpg

Huh. CtA from Mewar? Sure, why not. I won't send armies over, I'll leave that to the vassals.

20200604120419_1.jpg

Khandesh flips to loyal, we pay their debt off. We can now RM for the -5% LD.

20200604120546_1.jpg

Bengal flips to friendly. Mental note made about a new alliance to encircle Orissa.

20200604120631_1.jpg

Nice. We owe them a lot of favours. One more and we can call them into a war.

20200604121545_1.jpg

Nice, we're the first to mil 4. Extra morale and tactics, that will be VERY helpful in future wars.

20200604121817_1.jpg

We diplo-vassalise Baglana. We plan to do the same with Chanda. We learned our lesson from last campaign, do NOT force religion on vassals.

20200604121834_1.jpg

Crap. That's not good. We need the alliance to go forward with Bengal. Cuts off two ways of expanding.

20200604122125_1.jpg

We vassalise Chanda. Now we have 4 vassals: Baglana, Khandesh, Chanda and Telingana. Our vassal swarm begins to form.

20200604122338_1.jpg

Current state of affairs.

20200604122710_1.jpg

We're in a bit of a jam here. Can't expand into Orissa without fighting Vij, and can't call Bengal in because of "recently broke a promise to give land". Can't expand into Vij, because they allied Orissa, they still have Jaffna and they allied Andhra and Kolathunad.
Andhra still has Vij as their only ally?

Huh. We flip to hostile, desire their land and set it as vital interest. Hopefully Telingana gets the memo and fabricates on them.
Idea is to expand into Andhra, force Vij to annul with Orissa and then we crush them. Then we go after Orissa.
We may have broken this deadlock.

New session. Wonder what's going on with our neighbours?

20200604170948_1.jpg

What? Timmies haven't exploded? It's 1449. Shah Rukh is 71. He isn't dead yet. What's going on?

20200604173016_1.jpg

Nice. Only ally is Vij, the goal is to force them to annul with Orissa, and we take Andhra for ourselves.

20200604173233_1.jpg

Mercing up is not an option. We need men, quickly. Fortunately we're rolling in cash so it isn't much of an issue.

20200604173257_1.jpg

What? Vijayanagar has peasant rebels sieging a fort down and they're not interested? Good. Less work for us.

20200604173336_1.jpg

We switch to the wartime cabinet. We hire the advisor from the Marathas for that +5% discipline in combat. Will be very helpful, people still aren't at mil 4 yet. We have the advantage.

20200604173633_1.jpg

Vij attacks our west, we attack them south and east. Those peasants are sieging away, we let them have it.

20200604173753_1.jpg

Renaissance spawns. All available monarch points get spent on the capital. The faster we can get renaissance, the better. Either we get it or we don't get it at all.

20200604174222_1.jpg

We beat Vijayangar and siege their capital. We take their capital, we drop them out of the war. Their capital is lv1, ours is lv3. They will be there for a long time.

20200604174459_1.jpg

Rinse, repeat. Bait the enemy in, crush their dreams with reinforcements.

20200604174520_1.jpg

Huh. A stackwipe. We could push our agenda even further, but Vij isn't co-belligerent. Not worth the AE getting our cores back.

20200604175058_1.jpg

Their capital drops, we make them annul with Orissa. They won't find allies fast enough, because we're about to show them who's the better fighter.

20200604175243_1.jpg

We give two provinces to our vassal Telingana, take one for ourselves and vassalise the remains. We also steal 85 ducats, then we pay off their debt. Fun little tactic gives us -50% LD because we paid off their loans, which are tiny. Means we can get them into the action VERY quickly.

20200604203331_1.jpg

We declare on Orissa, and get a popup saying we can call someone in. Just Mewar, but they won't get anything except a few ducats.

20200604203711_1.jpg

Garjat moves in and we respond with a stackwipe. Mercs get hired, wartime cabinet is selected. Money isn't an issue.

20200604205327_1.jpg

We close in Orissa's forces to seal the deal.
and...

20200604205824_1.jpg

In the peacedeal, we take 4 provinces and steal Jeypore, Parlakhimidi and Garjat for ourselves. We're nearly 3 times the max diplo-relation slots, and our grip is weak over there at best.

This is going to be bad if we don't manage it right.

We need to integrate somebody first, probably Telingana. Then we integrate Khandesh. By that point it shouldn't be a big issue. Dip tech will fall behind heavily, but we don't plan on building a navy. Need to keep mercs, as they're the ones holding the empire together. We're going to merc up to forcelimit, because we NEED them desperately.

Next issue is where to expand next.

We just moved into Orissa, but we need our tasty cores on Vij back - they don't expire til 1594. Plenty of time. Can't move north into Malwa, they allied Bengal. If we attack, we have to wait until Bengal dishonours the CtA.

Vij is not going to find strong allies anytime soon, so we probably attack down there for our cores once truce is up or they'll give our vassals funny ideas. Don't make them do anything stupid.

6 cores can be used for that sweet sweet reconquest CB, which gives 25% AE per province that has your core on it. Easy way to grow in size, the rest we can simply make up with ducats to keep the treasury strong/pay off vassals.

We've already won the first war with Vij, so it probably won't be too big of an issue. They may AA net a bunch of minors, though. Minors are minors, so we just stackwipe them and force them out quickly. Once we get them down that initial fall, it'll be easy to keep them moving down.

We can placate/develop our vassals if we need to, but as a last resort we need to let one go. Probably will have to be Garjat. However, vassals can't declare independence while at war, so we use that to our advantage by being at war for as long as possible. We also let them do all the fighting, because that reduces relative power of all vassals to their suzerain.

Play this right and we can rule India. Muck it up and we die. Tricky, reaaaally tricky.

Update: Patch 1.30 along with that new DLC came out. Run can't be used on the new patch and you know I'm wanting to move to it. Still going to the end of the campaign, but since school's been picking up I've found time to be hard to come by. Will hopefully continue regular posting AT LEAST once a week. Anyways, might as well update. Heard you can sit on the lower patches for a bit, so that's what we are gonna try.

We restart, because we never had much progress anyways.

20200629183007_1.jpg

First war is with Orissa. Even though we improve relations, they give us a middle finger. We ally Bengal while they fight Orissa, they slip us a defensive CtA that we're practically praying we get, and we go in. Diplo-vassalised Bastar and Chanda while we were at it. We mark provinces as vital interest and go in. Only them and their vassals, easy kill.

20200629183406_1.jpg

Renaissance spawns, we drop all points on a Shi'a province (because the estates rework made it easier to convert now). Makes us have more dev in true faith provinces, and also gives us some dev for GP status.

20200629184045_1.jpg

We separate peace for Parlakhamidi and Jeypore, and nick four provinces for ourselves. Bengal and Orissa white-peace shortly afterwards.

20200629184205_1.jpg

Be gone, revolt!

20200629185406_1.jpg

We pick up defender of the faith because why not. We will learn this is a bad idea later. But hey, at least we can say we did something.

20200630190537_1.jpg

Vijayanagar has a lot of allies, and has pretty much taken out everybody down south, unless they vassalised them. Andhra still has Vij? Hmmm. Time to see what can happen here.

20200630190553_1.jpg

Like father, like son. Get a good 5/3/3 ruler, his heir is a 5/3/3 named after him. Good ruler stats so far...

20200630194801_1.jpg

Pretty much nothing happened, except we added Kalinjar and an Indian TPM as our vassal.

20200630200314_1.jpg

The most boring war ensues, we don't even fight. We let our vassals do that and fight. After we rush their forts, we retake our cores. This will start the downfall of Vijayanagar.

20200630200436_1.jpg

10k peasants pop via event, we crush them. Concurrently, Garjati separatists from that same war get eradicated. Bengal called us in on promises of land, and gave us a province. We did more work, we deserve more. Ratanpur grabbed the rest. At least our boys have some target practice.

20200630200809_1.jpg

Did I mention we have colonies? We have colonies! :)
Expansion went first. Need to beat those dirty Europeans before they get it all for themselves.

20200630200827_1.jpg

Welcome, Jhalavad! You will make a fine addition to my collection of vassals.

20200630201703_1.jpg

Your clay. All of it belongs to us. It's not that we want it, it's that we need it and deserve it more than you do.

20200630201726_1.jpg

Miltech 7 approaches. We get ahead of the subcontinent, putting us in a great position. The further ahead you are in miltech, the better. NEVER fall behind in miltech, it will hurt and you will suffer heavily.

20200630202025_1.jpg

After embracing Renaissance and teching up, our nation appears green on the tech map. Always a good sign.

20200630202304_1.jpg

We get the heir falls ill event. Twice. First it happens to our 1/0/6, he dies and makes way for a 3/2/4. Event fires for him, he dies and we get a 5/3/4. Natural selection at its finest, and RNG at its best. Too bad it'll never happen again :(
At least our consort is a 6/4/2. Pretty good monarch lineup.

20200630202344_1.jpg

We notice that Gujarat is quite occupied, and jump them for Thana. No time to get cores back like the present.

20200630203026_1.jpg

Mil 8. Always stay ahead in mil. Truces run out with Vij, we notice they have Peasants' War and are falling behind. We jump them. After a lack of battles (so a lack of anything interesting), we break their lines and rush them.

20200630203425_1.jpg

The chaos on the frontlines. Vij peasants everywhere, they even slaughter our king in battle.
YOU WILL ALL PAY FOR SPILLING THE BLOOD OF MY KING. NOBODY STABS OUR KING. DO IT AGAIN AND I WILL RESERVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL FOR YOU.

Last edited:
Oh well. At least our queen regent is competent. Anyways, a look east reveals our vassals are taking the blows, like they should do. It was in the contract they signed.

20200701075755_1.jpg

We move in, wreck their military, and peace out.

20200701075833_1.jpg

The mighty total of three provinces switches hands.

20200701075923_1.jpg

Bankruptcy is just the cherry on top. Vijayangar is in that lethal downward spiral. AI are unable to get past that downwards spiral once it gets momentum. Players can save it, but the AI cannot.

20200701081039_1.jpg

Colonialism drops. Monarch points on the capital, encourage development edict gets used.

20200701081220_1.jpg

A new challenger has appeared!
Habsan appears via event, we provoke them into declaring. Declaring on a GP and their subjects/allies that own half of India collectively? Bad idea. Goodbye. Easy stackwipe of 4k troops, and an ugly purple dot gets removed. India's much better in teal, if you ask us.

20200701081400_1.jpg

Coloinalism in Bidar. Can't embrace just yet, but we can soon. Right now, we are the major player in India technologically.

20200701081919_1.jpg

We get a notification saying that the Age of Discovery ends soon. That means Protestantism has been enabled. Doesn't matter, we are fighting Vijayangar. Need to keep dates handy incase League Wars become a thing.

20200701082241_1.jpg

All that land we take, makes our name bigger. Was it font size or nation size that counted more? We forget this a lot. Vijayangar goes into full collapse mode. Mental note made to build a navy and take Ceylon.

20200701082636_1.jpg

We loan up, embrace colonialism and hope that we have similar luck with other institutions.

20200701083810_1.jpg

"Freedom to the people of Mys-"
"no"
"Understandable. Have a good day."

20200701084335_1.jpg

Did somebody say "free province bank"? We did. Vijayangar did too. They're in a civil war. We see an easy kill, and go in.

20200701084438_1.jpg

Rebels fighting both Vij and us, we're trying to avoid rebels and Vij is trying to run from both. Mow em down, boys.

20200701084714_1.jpg

Satisfying stackwipe that ends any comeback that Vij could mount. Not that they could, anyway. They're stuck in that downwards loop and will never recover.

20200701084936_1.jpg

One last look at the map. Vijayangar almost kicked off the mainland, stuck in a total collapse mode. We could break with Bengal soon, they haven't been expanding. Once we unite the southern regions, we could start hitting people up north. Malwa and Gujarat are on the hitlist. Ratanpur as well, probably. All have some ties to Jaunpur, so we beat the crap out of them and make sure they don't come back. Once we start gaining momentum north, all we need to do is not fall into a deadly coalition war. Those suck. But then again, we are flying ahead of the subcontinent. Tech isn't an issue, and our military is massive. We could do this easily in the next 100 years, then we beat any European who dares found a trade company on the mainland.

This is where the fun begins.

20200701180907_1.jpg

We hit Malwa, because we need to gather some northern momentum. This will be to connect one of our exclave-vassals up to the mainland.

20200701181149_1.jpg

That's more like it. Our boys have been starved of enemy troops to fight, and open with a stackwipe.

20200701181510_1.jpg

And the result: 3 provinces change hands, and give us a connection to one of our vassals. Those pesky northern sultanates could be an issue if they team up, but they all hate each other. Won't be much of a problem.

20200701181650_1.jpg

We drop Propagate Religion on two Trade Centres. Nobody expects the Shi'a centres of reformation.

20200701181730_1.jpg

Ugly border patrol notify us that there's a snake to beat up. No allies, weak nation. Easy target. AE starting to become noticeable.

20200701182022_1.jpg

Vassalised. There aren't going to be much more minor powers, so we need to start going after the big names.

20200701182039_1.jpg

Quick check at the map: Keep pounding Vijayanagar.
The big 5 names in the north are: Sindh, Delhi, Malwa, Jaunpur and Bengal. Hopefully there won't be much friendship between them, as they all hate each other.

20200701182843_1.jpg

Hm yes, my wars do appear to have a good justification. Everything does appear to be in good order.

20200701183145_1.jpg

Free clay? Free clay. Who doesn't like free clay :)

20200701183240_1.jpg

Well there goes 4k we never have to worry about again. Easy victory.

20200701184048_1.jpg

And there goes an entire nation's military. Hopefully Gujarat decides to jump them for clay.

20200701184109_1.jpg

Ceylon and the tip of India switch hands. Only thing left is this offensive yellow tumour.

20200701190214_1.jpg

Good rolls slip us an easy stackwipe. Things are going well.

20200701190342_1.jpg

League wars fire. Austria is still emperor, Bavaria is the head of the evangelical union. We aren't going to have an impact, sadly.

20200701190355_1.jpg

Why hello there, Iraq. Never seen you here before, or you getting to such a thick size. Well, watch out for the Ottos, and you should be fine.

20200701190438_1.jpg

We steal their march, and take another three provinces. Malwa shouldn't be an issue.

20200701191227_1.jpg

And Vijayangar goes down in history. With southern India united, there isn't much for us to stop us from snowballing and hitting the northern sultanates.

20200701191436_1.jpg

More rebels come and go, just separatists. The usual.

20200701191940_1.jpg

We decide to hit OPM Maldives because why the hell not. More land for us, 10 transports get built.

20200701192057_1.jpg

The current map in 1559. Printing press has dropped, and we're developing for it in Bidar right now. Not sure how we get the other institutions, maybe we spawn them elsewhere? Starting to fall behind. Need to catch up.

20200701192205_1.jpg

We spawn it in Bidar. Mental note made to develop something else somewhere, so our monarch points are better spent. Or upgrading on tech, that works too.

20200701192934_1.jpg

We hit Bishnapur to get Jaunpur in. Idea is to force Jaunpur to annul with everybody, then kick their teeth in. Repeatedly. Bengal has collapsed, so the 4 major powers in north India are Malwa, Sindh, Delhi and Jaunpur. Gujarat exists, but they're allied to the Timurids. Timurids have found it amusing to ally half of the major powers in India, despite the fact we could roll everybody. Anyways, once this first war with Jaunpur is done, we just head over there for some provinces and get working.

20200701193139_1.jpg

Printing press embraced in 1564. Need to spend MPs on upgrading tech. 2 techs behind everybody isn't going to help, despite the fact we have an army size twice as large as the other Indian powers. Jaunpur will get hit first, then we beat on Bengal. They were forced to annul with us earlier, but Bengal is a tiny power. Will be very easy to bash on and integrate. Leaves Gujarat, Delhi, Malwa, Sindh. Ming rivalled us, but are in the midst of getting ripped to shreds by low mandate and an occurring disaster. Ming will not exist for much longer, so we could strike their tributary states in India. Only nation realistically strong enough to fight us are the Timmies. Haven't got a decent foothold in India yet, hopefully they never do. Ayutthaya rivalled us, but they don't share a border with us. Only realistic threat they pose is to our colonies. Did we mention we have more of them now? Cuz we do.

Tl;dr:
Beat up Jaunpur, then Bengal, then blast everybody else. Seems easy. Definitely achievable in the next 50-100 years if we play it right. AE is starting to become an issue again.

Outside of uniting India, I have no idea. Currently, coalitions are angry at us. Thankfully, we have one of the best morale stats in the game right now at a massive 5.7 morale, number 1 GP. Currently ahead in miltech. Always good to be on top of your opponents. Will load up and continue today, plan is to convince Timurids to leave then spank the coalition. We could still fight them all at once, but we'd rather make it easier for ourselves. Currently in age of absolutism.

Subbed :)

Anyways, let's get moving.

20200702160349_1.jpg

For an estate mission, we go after Bishnupur. Assam goes in, big nation that came out of Tibet. They make the mistake of attacking us. Half their entire army gets crushed. Never show mercy. Enemies can sense mercy, and won't hesitate for the kill.

20200702160528_1.jpg

Shameful conduct. They got away. They'll learn their lesson or die ignorant.

20200702160536_1.jpg

Koch's army surrenders to us at Mugdal. Shameful conduct no more.

20200702160549_1.jpg

Bishnupur gets added to the empire, another vassal for our collection.

20200702160713_1.jpg

Ratanpur gets integrated. We start eyeing up Bengal.

20200702161014_1.jpg

We look north and see Jaunpur's having fun. We go in on Bengal, because if we can't finish them Assam will.

20200702161236_1.jpg

Malwa made the mistake of allying a corpse. Utter humiliation follows.

20200702161338_1.jpg

Planned peacedeal. Let's see whether it can be achieved.

20200702161506_1.jpg

We achieve the peacedeal, and we were proven right. Assam invades Bengal and finishes off the scraps. We could now start fighting them.

20200702161555_1.jpg

We waste no time in claiming our prized possessions, and get ready to whack some rebels.

20200702162306_1.jpg

Quick map observation shows we could hit Gujarat, Malwa, Jaunpur, Koch and Assam. We could probably do multiple wars at once. Hey, we're now an Empire! Our Sultan is now a Padishah :)

20200702162308_1.jpg

Cabinet reshuffle. Mil focus is activated, we hire an inquisitor to help with conversions.

20200702163516_1.jpg

After 10 minutes of doing nothing, the boys are itching for a fight. We look at Jaunpur and notice they have no allies. Should be easy. Will they even resist?

Probably not.

20200702163617_1.jpg

Darn. They had frontline cannons and still got away? Who cares. That was to save our vassals from humiliation. We could solo this even without our vassals.

20200702163844_1.jpg

We hand provinces off to our vassals. So far, we've discovered we can hit Malwa and Jaunpur without problems. This is going to be easy.

20200702165834_1.jpg

20 minutes of nothingness except, hey look! It's Dominion's friend, Nagaur. Now part of a great empire.

20200703194338_1.jpg

We hit Malwa again, and the timurids decide to help. Even though we've beaten them multiple times, they still have not gotten the memo.

20200703194346_1.jpg

They hang their head in shame. They're two miltechs behind us. How that was not a stackwipe is beyond us.

20200703194439_1.jpg

Sindh decided to tag along, much to the regret of half their army. It gets wiped.

20200703194802_1.jpg

The timmies appear, get crushed and run again. The timurids take a lot of time before we start seeing their stacks, so we are usually good for the first year. By then, it's already too late for them to have an impact.

20200703195214_1.jpg

Malwa's remaining stack gets crushed effortlessly. Clean, simple execution with a chad general makes things so much easier with a miltech advantage.

20200703195349_1.jpg

The Timurids just don't learn. We prepare for a massive victory.

20200703195358_1.jpg

Effortlessly wiped. Frontline timurid cannons make it all the better.

20200703195454_1.jpg

They lose their border zone to us. Malwa will no longer be a threat.

20200703195647_1.jpg

Our dream. One united, Shi'a India.

20200704170754_1.jpg

We go in to slap Gujarat around. Jaunpur and the Timurids decide now's a good time to fight us again. If the Timurids won't learn, they'll figure it out when we burn Herat to the ground.

20200704170813_1.jpg

Khandesh goes down. Gujarat will follow shortly.

20200704170817_1.jpg

Wiped.

20200704171122_1.jpg

Down they go again.

20200704171249_1.jpg

Jaunpur looks at Assam's attempt of attacking us and thinks it's a good idea. Their stupidity costs them almost all of their army, which goes down in a stackwipe.

20200704171416_1.jpg

The Timurids fall down again. Paper armies everywhere.

20200704171436_1.jpg

We forget to shift-consolidate, and they get away. Minor stack, so it's not a big worry.

20200704171642_1.jpg

Malwa and Gujarat were caught in a little scuffle. We assist Malwa to knock some Gujarati troops around. We peaced Jaunpur out, so there isn't really much there.

20200704172120_1.jpg

Gujarat falls down, losing an OPM (thanks Jaunpur, we can vassalise that) and two provinces to us.

Fighting intensifies.

20200704172421_1.jpg

Spain arrives to the party, we go down under and get ourselves an Australian colony.

20200704172435_1.jpg

[insert blank achievement achieved text here]

20200704172640_1.jpg

Rebels? Not here. No. No rebels at all. Nothing to worry about.

20200704172723_1.jpg

We even aid our subjects with their issues. We're such a nice empire.

20200704172847_1.jpg

Idar gets added to the empire.

20200704172902_1.jpg

We position our forces on Assam's border and go in. They've got some allies, unfortunately they're dealing with the no. 1 GP. Their chances ain't looking good.

20200704173515_1.jpg

Kalinjar attacks, they reinforce, we reinforce back. They run.

20200704173618_1.jpg

Kalinjar and Bishnupur attack. They reinforce, we counterreinforce and they flee.

20200704173634_1.jpg

The new border is drawn. At this point, we could fight multiple wars at once.

20200704174138_1.jpg

Parlakhimidi gets annexed.

20200704174217_1.jpg

Global trade spawns. Age of reformation begins ending. We get a level 3 trade centre in Bidar, and global trade starts working its way in. We're so enlightened.

20200704174604_1.jpg

We hit Jaunpur again, because why not. We stackwipe a minor stack.

20200704174637_1.jpg

We hit them again. A new stackwipe presents itself to us.

20200704174836_1.jpg

Huge payout for our vassals. Jaunpur has been sufficiently weakened and won't be a problem.

20200704175834_1.jpg

We go in on Malwa again. We stackwipe in the first battle, their mistimed reinforcements eat a -2 penalty.

20200704175838_1.jpg

And get promptly destroyed.

20200704180119_1.jpg

We take some provinces and release Hadoti. Why? Part of the plan. Hadoti will love us for releasing them, which makes for quick vassalisation.

20200704180208_1.jpg

Hadoti is added to our empire. A big family makes us happy :)

20200704180351_1.jpg

Dangers of truces ending and coalitions happening start. We threaten war, because people are terrified of the number 1 GP's vassals bordering them, especially when they have no allies.

20200704180424_1.jpg

Gujarat's drilling army gets caught in the invasion and destroyed effortlessly.
I sense an easy victory.

Time to destroy some more nations.

20200704181443_1.jpg

Gujarat is forced to release two nations and hand some provinces over, dropping them below 100% WS. We promptly vassalise them.

20200704181737_1.jpg

We eye up Assam some more.

20200704181748_1.jpg

We threaten war on Delhi. They oblige.

20200704182749_1.jpg

We go in on Jaunpur. They've gotten up to our miltech. Finally, an even fight. They still lose.

20200704182857_1.jpg

Then they get stackwiped. Their resistance folds.

20200704182905_1.jpg

Jaunpur's remaining army locks, we move in.

20200704182915_1.jpg

Wiped.

20200704183923_1.jpg

Malwa and Sindh team up, but still run. No match for us.

20200704184458_1.jpg

Jumala gets destroyed.
Had to end the session here. Will load up and continue tomorrow.

Back. Unfortunately procrastination doesn't help the progress. Back in we go.

20200707180812_1.jpg

We go after Gujarat to get their remains sorted.

20200707180836_1.jpg

Stackwipe.

20200707181901_1.jpg

Timurids still think they can hit us head on.

20200707181919_1.jpg

They experience what it's like to run into a brick wall, headfirst. They run in shame.

20200707182042_1.jpg

We slap them around in another battle. Timurids went quantity, not quality.

20200707182306_1.jpg

We move into them. Herat is miles away. No point in walking there, not enough troops to cover the ground. Not enough income to support them either.

20200707182740_1.jpg

Gujarat falls at last. Provinces get ceded away accordingly.

20200707182943_1.jpg

Malwa and Sindh have a go at each other. It doesn't matter, they'll be cannon fodder. Them fighting makes them weaker, therefore making us have a better time eating their clay.

20200707183715_1.jpg

You have Indian clay. Gib.

20200707184320_1.jpg

That's better.

20200707185413_1.jpg

We go down quantity ideas. Gives us upkeep reduction somewhere down the line, ergo we can fund a greater army.

20200707185628_1.jpg

Jaunpur brings its buddy Timurids in on Malwa. We don't understand why they did that; they could of done it themselves. Not missing out on this opportunity, we jump them as well. Chagatai is a minor somewhere in the middle of the steppes, Delhi is a cinch.

20200707190139_1.jpg

Wait, they didn't take land? How? Why? You had their provinces open for conquest. Why did you do that?

20200707190451_1.jpg

More clay for the clay juggernaut, I guess. Malwa gets knocked to the realm of "Can be annexed in one more war".

20200707190640_1.jpg

It's starting to look achievable.

20200707190710_1.jpg

Wait, since when did Delhi get into a war with Russia? Who cares. Truces ended, so they can die.

20200707191111_1.jpg

Separatists, and constantly teetering on the edge of internal conflicts. Time to balance unrest and stability and OE.

We hit Sindh, because it's about time somebody taught them how to dance. Not like we can, anyways. We think we're good at it. Anybody that challenges us ends up with dance-related compound fractures in their legs. They bring Iraq with them.

20200716093825_1.jpg

20200716094021_1.jpg

Minor stack is erased from history.

20200716094059_1.jpg

Sindh's entire army shows up. A few reinforcements send them home.

20200716094123_1.jpg

Iraq sends a good army at us. It gets sent home.

20200716094303_1.jpg

Stackwiped. Stay off our capital.

20200716094319_1.jpg

And get off our forts. Wait, something's not fixed yet.

20200716094459_1.jpg

How? Double the numbers, they somehow get away.

20200716094820_1.jpg

Sindh loses Baluchistan. Their western half is gone, their Indian parts are all mine.

20200716095628_1.jpg

Quick war with Jaunpur sees parts of Doab exchange hands.

20200716095652_1.jpg

How? Why? We're far, far away from them. Out of nowhere, they decide to start hating on us. Why you do this?

20200716095735_1.jpg

We need to hit the Timurids at some point. We also need to hit Tripura. They happen to be a tributary of Ava. Ava picked quantity, inflating their numbers. Their quality isn't amazing, however.

20200716100219_1.jpg

Kalpi is integrated.

20200716100309_1.jpg

Doti is vassalised. For no reason whatsoever, they decide that Shi'ism is their new favourite religion. We imagine it went a little something like this:
"Friendship with Hinduism ended:
Shi'ism is my new best friend"
Whatever, but ok.

20200716100708_1.jpg

We decide to slap Sindh some more. A stackwipe presents itself to us.

20200716101411_1.jpg

More separatists - yay

Fast forward a bit. We can hit Sindh, and Iraq will dishonour. No time like the present.

20200723182110_1.jpg

20200723182736_1.jpg

Sindh tries deathstacking our vassals, we arrive and tell them this is our turf.

20200723182822_1.jpg

Sindh grows ever weaker. The Timurids are eyeing them up slightly too.

20200723182903_1.jpg

We improve with Timurids so they're out of coalition territory.

20200723184432_1.jpg

We lose a potato heir via event. An average heir takes his place. Jhalavad gets integrated. Halar is needed for Hindustan.

20200723185433_1.jpg

This is... unhelpful
Lose one stability or gain 2 corruption? Where's Faithful Adherence when you need it?
