Before this gets marked WAD, I am starting this post knowing that if you diplo-annex a new vassal, it increases BB, but if you grant land to a new vassal, it lowers BB. Correct?
Okay, so here's the problem. My King is laid up and I have no anonymous commanders so whenever I conquer a pagan land, the highest-ranking general on the field takes it for himself and appoints himself as Count. Okay, that's bad enough, but the problem is I'm taking a BB hit when he does!
If I had an anonymous commander, I could acquire the new land into my demesne, then grant it to the other courtier and I'd lose BB, right? But since he's grabbing it instead himself, my BB gets raised. That doesn't seem right. The game probably doesn't see the difference; it just sees a new vassal ala diplo-annexing since the grant code to lower BB is never even executed.
