Sorry, not good enough. We were told that Paradox had ‘rolled up their sleeves and fixed ‘performance’ in the 1.5 patch. I interpret that to mean that the 1.5 patch would have that feature.

If it cannot be achieved within the first patch, then don’t state that it will.

you mean this hotfix, included in this patch? that fix, that was advertised to come and fix this in this very patch?

I would recommend using this one mod that makes AI aim for 40 width divisions. Before using that mod, lag was unbearable after 1942 (I have a new Macbook Pro base model with touchbar). The mod makes the game run significantly smoother, it even makes the game slightly more challenging because with excessive amount of 20w divisions, AI moves their troops around all the time destroying their organization.

I don't remember the exact name of the mod but I'm sure you can find it on steam workshop searching with keywords: 40 width, lag, AI etc.

PS: With the mod, AI makes 14inf+4art as standard infantry division instead of 7inf+2art.

Its also lagging for me. Sometimes I click on an icon and game jst freezes for couple of seconds..

All this on an i7, Nvidia 1070 and 32GB RAM....

I was quite happy with performance yesterday, although I have a new PC, so this might not mean anything for older rigs, maybe.

What did large improvement for me was switching to SSD (especially on autosave, obviously).

But as I am playing on 4k for some time now, I feel that this improved with the patch. I had some scrollag before, and it seems to be gone now.

Did not reach real lategame yet (late 1939) though, so I will see what happens tonight.

Lagging here, and interestingly I have the same spec as mentioned above. i7, 32gb and Nvidia 1070. It's not an MSI laptop per chance? You see, what I don't really understand, is the streams went fine. So what we are experiencing is something new, or something not tested on certain machines.. I've had issues with other games using this laptop; so it doesn't really surprise me. I'm sure if it's a memory leak or something it will get hotfixed.

There are some audio bugs (random russian screaming, got me really nervous when playing as Sweden), and some random audio glitching. I would wait for a first patch before I judge the performance of WTT/Cornflake.

Played a bunch yesterday, performance seems to stay more steady, but it also starts a lot worse than it used to be.

Instead of having a really fast early game and a really slow late game I now get a slowish all game. Not really sure how you managed that one.

Canada improved greatly however I think Columbia more than negated any gains they made.

I think you have the wrong idea on how the game is supposed to be played. Its not supposed to be run at speed 4 and 5 all the time. Most people are experiencing better performance in general. The issue I think is your expectations of the game or your idea how it suppose to be played.

"It's not Paradox's fault that many peoples games are suddenly running at half speed, it's your fault for expecting to be able to play at any speed you want."

I have an ASUS laptop but I guess the components are similar...

Here's mine, I know I don't have the best computer but keep in mind I ran this game like a champ up until late game since release.

And you are starting to become a victum of the games development. Technically speaking your CPU is below min specs. The AI is what is mainly offloaded from the primary core and as they advance it, more and more you need the true quad core that the system requires, as it is you have 4 virtual cores running on 2 physical cores, so your cores are split in half. sharing the the clockspeed between 2 virtual cores....

One thing I would suggest though is to update your nVidia driver

Well, if your comp is below the specs for a game you should expect that to impact your play eventually. On the other hand, you were able to play for quite some time with a sub-optimal machine if you want to look on the positive side of things.
