I believe that the team working on HOI IV is very small, and that's why we are the huge delays.I was hoping for a spring game release, but now it could be a summer release.
Why is it a bad news that they dont rush the game, exactly?
and i still agree with it next new year's day if i get an great finished game in the end.I agreed with that sentiment last New Year's Day.

With each day the game come closer to release![]()

The team isnt small. The core team consists of 6 developer, with several others working on it aswell. Infact they recieve lend lease from the EUIV team aswell.
- Podcat (lead/design/programming)
- Darkrenown (script/research/design)
- TomaszKowalczyk (programmer)
- Guraan (programmer)
- Sideburnout (2D art)
- larre (3D art/map)
Same can be said about HL3....With each day the game come closer to release![]()
I guess it's mainly the people who are working on the grand strategy, country management and battle mechanics who have to do the main amount of work, not the graphics developers. So I guess that would be the top two persons listed?

The comment could be a joke.

as i said, that is just the core team. There are several other devs working on it aswell. Groogy for example was temporarily stolen from CK2 to help with the AI. Wiz seems to do some stuff with the HoI IV ai aswell but SteelVolt is the one that does the major AI work if i recall correctly.I guess it's mainly the people who are working on the grand strategy, country management and battle mechanics who have to do the main amount of work, not the graphics developers. Everyone wants a good game, and a delay to make it correct is understandable....Why is it a bad news that they dont rush the game, exactly?

This is the exact reason they don't say anything though, people will just start to get all unreasonably pissy and start being unfriendly to the devs, and then the rather understandably devs wont want to interact as much, and nobody wants that. Thanks for letting us know victor!!!
Did you laugh about that @Denkt ?Why should Johan make a joke of that??? This makes no sense...
Didn't darkrenown say lately, that he isn't in the HOI4 team anymore and has another project?
Well, if Beta got rejected again, this can have 2 reasons, concerning podcats post on the last rejection. It could be a lack of a tutorial, which i guess was not the reason for the actual rejection. Or the game has still performance issues, because it runs too slow, which i believe more.
From the accidental posting of a beta tester here, i can assume, that bug squashing is still a thing. So MAYBE a rejected beta doesn't push back the release too much...
And now here's the information policy of pdx again. Some people, me included, asked many times in the forum just before christmas, if beta got accepted. No answer from anyone. Now Johan tells it to some guy via twitter. Is it that hard, to make a small post in the forum @Johan , since not everybody reads up twitter? Wouldn't it be a better information policy, instead have smart people like @Victor Cortez finding out about the game status and telling us? With all respects, tell about the status of the game, so that the whole forum can read it or tell nothing. Telling only one guy via twitter just leaves more questions imho...
They already admited it was a mistake, but they cant exactly go back in time and revert the announcement, and they're certainly not going to rush it (at least i hope).Everyone wants a good game, and a delay to make it correct is understandable....
but a years delay is kinda bad, and we are way past that... rediculous.
