I am no modder but I think it should be super fun to make a mod about one of the greatest space opera tv show Babylon 5. Like I said I am not modder and I just modded a little of HoI III but I dont really know coding. If someone who knows how to mod a paradox game dont have an idea what to mod in the game and he or she watched Babylon 5 well that is awesome setting and will make the game enjoyable, at least. I dont know yet if you could do that much modification in the game but we will see. If you did not watched Babylon 5, go watch it, it is awesome sci-fi tv show you dont gonna be dissapointed especially if you like older sci-fi tv shows like Star Trek.

I watched all episodes of Babylon 5, and I agree completely. The mod could have:
All the species (Humans, Minbari, Centauri, Narn, Vorlons, Shadows, and the minor species that weren't so important)
Vorlons and Shadows could be fallen empires that will scriptedly fight eachother when they meet. They don't expand, but will destroy everything that stands in their way.
There could be artifacts of the First Ones, including ships of them coming out of nowhere and disappearing shortly after. We could capture these ships, or at least destroy them and salvage some tech, when we have highly advanced technology (armor, weapons,...), but it will always be possible to attack the ships.
The Vorlons and Shadows could have pre-FTL and normal empires as their slaves, although some of them may not be aware of that fact.
We could play the ages of Before-Narn-Centauri-War and Post-Narn-Centauri-War and some other ages.
There should be an event where Babylon 4 will show up and we could investigate it. But that event will only happen one time per game at a random location.

all these features would be amazing especially babylon 4 reapiring, that would be splendid. I dont know if Stellaris could support Babylon 5 station itself but there must be some way I think. It would be also cool to have some mechanic that you can send your ambassadors to b5 and gather forces to fight the shadows. I hope there will be people to make this idea come alive.

It should be fitting I think that Stellaris would have mechanics that allow making this awesome mod. I think there will be constructing a space stations in Stellaris but i dont know yet. I just hope that some moders will look into it and make b5 mod.

I thinks mods are cool, but my primary impetus to playing this game is the procedural and new scenarios that will emerge with each play through. I think most mods would get boring to me pretty quick. That said if someone makes the undertaking I wish them the best of luck!

My Pak'ma'ra empire was conquer the universe and eat all of its garbage! Or perhaps I should lead Mars to finally seizing its rightful independence. Then again fighting a war as the Minbari warrior caste trying to over throw the religious caste would also be pretty fun.

B5's premise is perfect for a GSG and I think that Stellaris might be the first game that can properly act as an engine for it. The league of non-aligned world is totally a federation, it fits perfectly. Just imagine Shadow and Vorlon agents being dispatched across the universe to subtly move pop ethos more towards individualism or collectivism. I really hope this actually gets made.

Im pretty sure you can construct space stations, i remember seeing it in some of the dev diaries. Though i believe they have to be in orbit of a planet, though since Babylon 5 is in orbit of a planet in the show it would fit well enough.

The possibilities are endless ! ! ! I would love to play as a Narns and conquer other races. There are very cool and G'Kar is my favorite character.

My experience suggests B5 mods never make it past a few ship sets in 4x games.Work on Startrek instead as they do.

I think you're right, B5 would likely get overshadowed by a Star Trek mod, which is a shame because B5 could work quite nicely with Stellaris; imagine finding Vorlon or Shadow technology and using it to design new ships. B5 also had a lot of conspiring and twists that played out behind the scenes, that would work very nicely with CK2 style events.

I suspect the Vorlon/Shadow conflict would need to be represented in 2 ways: the two races as Fallen Empires, and also through events (like the Morden one above) where they covertly build influence/give benefits to their followers.

B5 is ideal for stellaris. I'd totally play it, probably as Narn. Or Centauri.

Stellaris had me thinking about B5, but it's sadly not available on any of my streaming services.

Well, what're you going to do, there's no other option of finding it anywhere on the Internet whatsoever.

But yeah, the base mechanics of Stellaris are very nice for a B5 mod, totally doable.
