Hear, hear! PI actually listens to their fans!
Congratulations, OP; most people seem delighted by this excellent proposal.

I haven't heard a worse idea for a game come out of a game studio before. A game with a fan base consisting of weird, hardcore history nerds having a fantasy expansion about Aztecs invading Europe (of all possible fantasy scenarios)? What next? A Call of Duty game set in the Enlightenment era? A Godzilla scenario for a train simulator game? An 18+ ultraviolent version of Mario?
Certainly the reception outside of the forums seems quite positive, due to the fact that they don't think the World is going to end because of one DLC.
And what if the Aztec DLC was the trigger to December 21st? After all, maya and aztecs, they're all the same![]()
I can't help myself here. I actually suggested this idea before the game was released as a fantasy DLC! I took a lot of grief for it. Yet here it is!

I agree completely.
And I truly, truly hope they don't add anything at all that makes you 'must' buy this DLC. You pretty much have to buy Sword of Islam and Legacy of Rome to fully enjoy the game, there are so many features in the DLCs that you just won't get with vanilla.

Mmmmh, Gotta love slippery slope fallacy.
I thought it was funny rhetoric, honestly. It was hyperbole rather than slippery slope, anyway. :/Strange that a post of mine from yesterday was pulled up, even though I've already switched to a pro-Aztec stance. After it gradually sinking in that this is an amusing side-project thing rather than a patch-based expansion like LoR.
A Train Simulator with a Zombie DLC!?A fantasy game about wizards with an expansion set in the Vietnam War!?
I mean, has anyone ever even asked that question, "What if Aztecs invaded medieval Europe?" It's a total non sequitor. The Aztec's didn't even have ships really. Even if they somehow crossed the Atlantic, 90+% would die of disease. The rest would be fighting knights and such with stone weapons. They had no cavalry, or even the concept of cavalry. AFAIK they also lacked seige weapons or any siege weapons to speak of. You really could not come up with a less threatening foreign invader if you tried.
