Hi, I have Divine Wind. Could someone answer a few questions for me please.

1) How do I scout new provinces? It appears the only way is to get a conquistador but that only becomes available with Government tech 4 and getting the "new world" idea. Is this the only way?

2) Is there any way to effectively tackle rapid inflation? Currently it is caused by the reliance on gold mines.

3) What is the fastest way to Westernize?

1.) I believe you can enter uncharted territories and reveal them if you are at war. Cities (but not colonies) bordering uncharted provinces will also gradually reveal those adjacent to it.

2.) Acquire a Master of the Mint advisor. There's also National Bank, but you have way more pressing needs for your first national idea. You can also reduce your reliance on gold mines by colonizing and conquering non-gold territories and developing the economy of your existing provinces with production and tax buildings. I believe inflatiion due to gold is only a factor if 40% of your income is derived from gold.

3.) Donno. I'm sure there's someone on here who can answer this question better than I can.

you can turn off inflation in the pre-game options menu.....

Well i think you can just hire master of mint.

1) Yes, unless you are russia. But provinces can be randomly revaled to you, if you border them.
2) I already mentioned
3) Well only waiting. You need to have a latin tech neigbour, and have sliders on their place. Also you need a tech gap, and being at +3 stability, but this is the easier part.

For exploring areas, you could take the national idea which gives +1 colonist, and then sit an army in the colonised area, this should reveal nearby provinces over time. I think you need trade tech 4 to colonise. To westernise, you need to pray that the AI doesn't just kill you. Give them lots of gifts, have a big army, avoid bordering them. I don't know if tribal succession crises are a thing for Divine Wind Aztecs

To get "quest for the new world" you need trade tech 7. Ofcourse Government tech 4 is also needed becouse without it you won't get a national ide, but normally you get Government 4 before trade tech 7.

Aztecs are a pain because you need to be constantly at war or your people will revolt. If you insist on playing as native Americans try Iroquois, Creek or the like since they need less slider moves to westernize and are not too close to the coast so the imperialists won't get you the moment they find you.
