Well, not sure if this can be considered a bug, but playing as the Aztec Empire, about 1512, Chautemoc has risen to the throne. A lousy king that simply doesn´t leave power, doesn´t procriate, and leave me with about 400 years of strugling to maintain an empire that spans for all of North, Central America and Brasil, With 5 Refineries, 3 Fine Arts, a modern country (by the epoque standards) and a level of Land Tech of 3(!), Naval Tech of 2(!), Trade Tech of 2 (!) and infra tech of 3 (!) (well, the level enough to get me some refineries)... Even tough i have neighbours and allies that are very powerfull, i don´t get any neighbouring bonus.... Nothing... :(

Thanks for an amazing game and for keeping it updated with patches
:)

The game is quite mod-friendly - feel free to make your own. If I could ever find the method for randomly generated monarchs from the board game I do have permission to post it *note to self: DO IT*
"Neighbor bonus" is a misnomer, as it is derived from nations in your tech group, including those halfway around the world about which you do not know but not including those from other groups (like those Latin tech nations bordering you).

Not really a bug, more of a gameplay question so I will move it to the Gen. Discussion forum.

To explain it. some countries does not have monarchs after certain dates, because the country did not exist IRL during that time. In those cases you will keep having the last monarch until the game ends.

you can add your own monarchs and/or change the one you have in the savegame file.

But for some countries, monarchs have been invented. Playing the Incas, I get new monarchs even in the last half of the 18th century. There names are marked with an asterix, an indication for being unreal ?

Why do you need a better king if you've already done so well as Aztec?

Pherhaps he is getting tired of having the same king...

But for some countries, monarchs have been invented. Playing the Incas, I get new monarchs even in the last half of the 18th century. There names are marked with an asterix, an indication for being unreal ?

I think it means that, I used to believe it was necessary for all monarchs, but then I opened the English monarch file and found no "*"... It really looks ugly with a "*" after the name so I just removed it on those nations I had edited monarchs for...
