For a couple of days ago I started a game with moctezumas editor wich messed around with the files.
When I was finished I tried to restore the files from the backup but it dont work!
Then I tried re-installing the IGC but it didnt work. Guess the IGC dont mess around to much with the terrains and such things.
Do I have to re-install the entire game or what?
Its a bit irritating with deserts in Kebec and swamps in Wales.

Correct!
There is a "Backup" folder in the EU folder.

Why not do this:-

Install EU
Make a copy of the Paradox Entertainment Folder and rename it ParadoxCopy (or summat)
You now have one virgin EU and one (the copy) for mucking about with IGC, scenario Generator etc in.

Then, if you get into a mess, you can delete the ParadoxCopy and make another one from the virgin.
