The year is 1949. it has been 5 years since the fall of German Empire, and 4 since defeat of Japan and its allies - Fengtian and Qing. The Cold War lasts for 5 years, and the world has been split into 2. On one side Syndicalists, led by Commune of France (UoB, CSA, SR Canada, SR Italy, SR Norway, SR Sweden, Australasian Confederation, Barthiya Commune, Morocco, Guinea, Madagascar, Cuba, Mexico, Liberia, FAI, Republic of Austria, German Union, Flanders, Walloonia, Luxembourg, latter Republic of Netherlands - here still under occupation, Union of Mali). On the other, Democratic block, led by Russian Empire (Republic of China, Hungary, Kingdom of Czechoslovakia, Kingdom of Serbia, Kingdom of Romania, Kingdom of Bulgaria, Kingdom of Greece, Albania). The Iron Curtain is almost identical as to historical one (minor changes in Germany, I got Lubeck, and in Slovenia ). Entente and Mitteleuropa are completely gone, and interestingly, Internationale has 666 vp in total.

This happened when I was the Danube Federation. The whole of Europe was either Syndicalist or in the Russian camp. I decided to annex the Balkans, and start taking chunks out of Africa and the Middle East, puppeting to gain their armies. I had nukes and enough manpower for one final assault...totally failed against the Syndicalists.

Really gets to a point at times where you're paralysed by stacks on either side. Strike now or you'll lose the initiative. I suggest focusing on India first.

I am Russia, and the last attack will be somewhere in first months of 1950. I have huge technological advantage - i have 21 A-bomb, 1948 units and somewhere about the same with air force, on the other hand, syndicalist block isn't even close to A-bomb, the best of their units are 1942 and air force is about the same. However, I have 150 infantry (100 regular, 50 motorized) and 60 armored units. That is nice, but when you compare to 450+ infantry units that only CoF has...It is exactly the opposite of history...Russia technologically more advanced and western powers have huge number advantage... I will try my best...India will be a problem as well, they are in French alliance and have more then 150 divisions...

China is already my ally, but with only 10 divisions, since I liberated them from Japan (Qing was Japanese puppet). They were at first my puppet, but I released them trough event.
On the other hand, Serbia, being the only ally I didn't wage war with previously, has almost 100 divisions...which is a lot for country that size.
Yes, I thought as much, nuking them would be the best strategy, though I don't think there are events regarding capital being nuked...

Very nice navy for Yugoslavia! But how're the doctrines?

May I suggest land forts on your Italian border? Your manpower will not last.

Well I have almost finished researching all the Engagement theories, and just begun with the Tactics.I think I should at least reach the Floating Fortress tech until the war starts, and hopefully that would be enough to do some serious damage to the Italian fleet. It's 1931 now,and another interwar battleship is on the way to be constructed in 3 years time.

About the manpower, that pic is not accurate since I was already partially mobilized before the create Yugoslavia event(which gave you cores on the whole of territory) so now I have about 160 manpower with partial mobilization :)

I'm not sure the forts are worth it,my war plan against Italy is always offensive:a concentrated offensive on Capodistria,to cut off Pola; that way I can guard the whole Italian border in just one province, instead of 3(Karlovac,Ljubljana,Maribor).

What worries me is will I be able to muster at least the historical land strength of 29 divisions(currently 13) ?

you also must be prepared to face the germans, hungarians, romanians and bulgarians in 1941, italy is may have a big navy, but germans have many tanks and planes. i think only chance is to do preventive wars against hungary, romania and bulgaria, and join the allies in summer of 1940, when germans fight france and uk in benelux

So, going through some old pictures I found this screenshot from a game of Kaiserreich:

Mighty Liberia.jpg

As explanation, I was playing as the Russian Empire and, taking advantage of the war between Germany and the Syndies, I declared war on Ukraine (and thus Germany). At any rate, the war in Europe went well, and I then proceeded to kick the Germans out of Asia, followed quickly by Africa, eventually annexing them. However, at the time of annexation, Liberia was the only member of Mitteleuropa, and as such inherited Germany's fleet. It's probably one of the most amusing things I've seen in game.

After the fall of France, the main clash of World War II didn't takes place in the plains of Russia...
Not even in the sand of Egypt...

Or how, from times to times the IA is lacking of "global" strategic priorities  ...
(I was playing Tibet, the german allied with Vichy France in 40'. I did'nt think to take a screen in the first stages of the operations, when almost on third of the Werhmacht was engaged in Subsaharan Africa , wich delay the launch of Barbarossa until Summer '44)
