If the Western Allies (UK or France) intervene, then the Axis players (Germany and Italy) will always get their combat experience event, win or lose.

Ok, it is only on normal/normal, but war against the Soviets started in January ´46 (and they lost nothing against Germany as the Wehrmacht was busy in Belgium 
), so they had a *few* divisions.

The French AI conquered and reconquered the Germans 3 times before the Red Army absorbed Poland. This is the first time I've seen the French excel, even the Spanish had no affect on their campaign. They just steamrolled them.

Oh and Laurwin, I once had the very same event. I thought it was pretty cool. It's nice to know that even the Führer himself isn't above suspicion.
