But why did you install the commies in Korea? Was it becauses installing the ROK would have required you to hold Jeju?

Anyways, great update. I always wonder where you get all the photos from. :)

Yes- Jeju is one of the minimal provinces of the Republic of Korea, annoyingly.

And I'll reveal my secret picture sources when the AAR is finished.

Hmmm that's weird I conquered all of Korea & then they were willing 2 give me Taiwan on normal/normal...
Well, we were playing on Hard, so that may have made a difference if the AI gauges relative strength when making peace.

You haven't even dealt with Mao and now you're giving away Korea to the Red Menace?!

Chiang has his reasons. Anyway, the main purpose, that of weakening Japan was achieved.

I agree with cthulhu -- doesn't the new Communist state in Korea pose risks when you turn to deal at last with Mao? I will admit, though, that Chiang's diplomacy was suitably underhanded. I'm not a bit sorry for the Japanese. :D

Exactly.....shouldn't you deal with the commie Korea before you deal with your fellow countrymen, the commies

Still, he had a very good reason in the fact that he couldn't create the other Korea due to lacking a vital province.

Hey Gjerg which do you think is the best land doctrine for Nat China?

I heard some guys say it was on the Human Wave Doctrine Tree but I saw you chose Grand Battle Plan. Which path are you aiming for in that line? Operational Steps, Infiltration, or Attrition?

Not to big a risk though... CHiang does have a lot of war veterans around now, I'm sure he can keep a handful on the border to keep Kim in check while he deals with that pesky Mao.

Look at that photo of them toasting each other - great stuff. Now lets see them fight for control of China - there can be only one!

I wonder if China will become further involved in WW2? Now that it looks like becomign a purely European campaign. A shame that the AI will attack Pearl Harbour anyway - a Japan this humiliated might not be so eager to taunt the dragon.

Just make sure you keep the Chinese communists away from the North Korean communists. As long as they're apart, they shouldn't pose too much of a threat. If they manage to link up... That could be a little more tricky.

Anyway, nice way of pulling one over the Japanese. I'm sure losing Korea must hurt their warwaging ability more than the loss of Taiwain ever could.

That might be hard, if they're stalinist. But if China (paternal autocrat or social consrvative?) released them as puppet, Kim Il Sung's DPR-Korea might actually be a paternal autocrat or social conservative, too, right? (Despite the red star on the flag.) Or is their mode of government pre-determined?

Think they would be Chinas viewpoint yes. If not...well Chiang can deploy a ''handfull'' of forces and still defeat them
