Dont know if it was cheesy or not but in my last two game i was adapting my game play around the FE awakening.
Game one, crazy great crusade rush to conquer as much as possible before awakening buildning up a bug fleet, the awakening happen just about when all the galaxy is in one fed against me. Become a Signatories to hind behind them from the rest of the galaxy. Colonise all the planets i have in my domain the pump up my fleet limit to the max in peace and quiet, til i rebel, beat my overlord and win the game.
Game two, sneaky conquest rush. No big fleet this time to awaken any of the FE, lots of vessels as not to anger the rest of the galaxy again. Won the game before awakening or crisis. ...?
Is it me are are awakened empires too predictable?
