I didn't. Didn't mention it here though and it seems it was needed. Did so in that other thread though. Religion is quite a huge modifier in fact but we were focusing on pop here :D

I have instigated a native uprising in a COT before. England had just developed one in India, and it was stealing half the trade from my COT in India. I declared war, send an army into their unfortified COT (had several natives) and when the natives attacked my army, I had them run away. The natives promptly butchered every citizen in the COT except for one. No matter how many times I did this, the population remained at 1. So I don't think there's a way to destroy COT's, or have them destroyed, in this manner.
