So I was kicking ass as the Duke of Saxony, and had conquered all of the Northern part of the HRE. My guy dies at 77 and my least favorite sons takes over. I lose Brunswick, most of Saxony, and parts of another Duchy (im blanking)
Should (or could) I fight for independence before my guy dies? I have enough to afford a sizable mercenary force, just not sure if it would work out.
