I swear to god if one more person asks "what's the USA doing" I'm joining the Germans. Seriously, read the AA lol.

Just like in real life, aside from a navy America had practically zero standing army when war starts. It takes time to training up an expeditionary army, especially when you have literally 0 man power, the same leadership as Romania, and have to deal with an aggressive southern neighbor. So yes, I took my sweet time getting to the meat grinder that is Europe.

Also: The Allies diverted literally nothing to Greece to save it. Americans were already going there and the only British troops there have been there since the conquest of the Ottomans.

Great game, very nice to follow.
Also love the naval battles, those were some serious maritime losses for the Allies!

By my count the Royal Navy still has superiority, but only just. The entente has about 30 dreadnoughts, including a bunch if pretty hopeless French, American and Italian ones. The central powers are on about 15, but they are battle hardened and well led, not to mention the fact that the entente still have to split their forces in 3 to cover Japan, the med and (if they dare) the Baltic. One more big battle will probably decide the winner, if events on land don't decide it first.

But yes, it certainly had been a very interesting naval game. Archam has handled the home fleet well. And better yet there's the chance of either a naval victory OR a land victory, unlike the last time the Central Powers went navy. Although I do doubt the Centrals have what it takes. GB still has her own bigger fleet of dreadnoughts, and with the release of their pacific fleet now have the decisive edge when it comes to screens. Also, don'laugh at the American navy just yet, within a year I'll have as many dreadnoughts as Germany, meaning that the Germans would essentially need to not lose anything next time they engage.

USA is too weak in this I think

They have about 500 IC...

They may be a little short on manpower since we messed up an event, but it did in real life take over a year from the declaration of war until a meaningful number of American troops could land. They also spent the first ingame year controlled by the AI, and are being asked to fight in 1915 rather than 1918.

With 100 extra manpower I think I'd be worried about them being overpowered

I only have 414 IC, you guys didn't let my poor AI build more before declaring war ;). And as long as we fix the game to actually give them the MP and take away their good awful new deal modifier, I think they're fine.

Having studied the endgame of the First World War, I would agree with you guys. A slow build up seems pretty historical: US troops may have been pouring into France in 1917 and 1918 (I recall something to the effect of basically a division per day worth of troops) yet they lacked training among other things. While they took on an important combat role, all the historians I have read seem to be of the opinion that it would not have been until 1919 that they would have started to overtake the British and French in terms of combat troops or the percentage of fighting.

So slow and steady, as you guys seem to have it, seems appropriate. Just my two cents :p

And America can get up and running much faster than in real life. I entered the war in mid April 1915, its now almost November 1915 and I already have an entire corps in the fight with more coming, though my crappy doctrines will keep me from doing all that much for awhile longer.

You already have an entire corps in the fight ... is that enough to cover one or two provinces :)

I want to say it's swung decidedly into the Entente's favor, but at the same time French and British.... Incompetence, still leaves the door ajar for the Central powers.
