Are you playing with 1.2.1? because autosave frequency has been drastically reduced there.

this save every month, but if you manually save, the next auto save will be 1,X month later at number 1, so lets say you save on feb 8 manually, next save will be april 1.
This means "drastically reduced" ?That I can delay autosave about couple of days?
I guess im still missing something...
The autosaves and other saves go to your local disk, not immediately to the cloud. They only sync up to the cloud when you exit the game - you can see that in your Steam client. So your internet connection speed is irrelevant, sorry.I have the fastest internet connection available in my area yet it is still too slow for cloud saves without delays in most games. When I lived in a different area of the world with some of the fastest internet available anywhere cloud saves were not an issue at all on the same computer. My connection was so fast there with extremely low latency that I often gained an unfair advantage in multiplayer games.
Where I live now I am usually in the middle to bottom for connection quality when playing with others. Nothing to be done about it. I tried switching to the other broadband ISP in my area and did detailed comparison of connection bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and other metrics but found both to be about equal once the connection hopped out of the local area to the nearest major hub. Tested destinations all over the world and the results were close for each ISP.
Cloud features performance appears to be highly dependent on a high quality connection, not just claimed max bandwidth. I have turned cloud saves off for most games so I won't be using ironmode at all. However, I don't cheat with saves in games. The only reason I might use a save to reset progress is to try to avoid a game breaking bug or crash.

I don't like how the devs seem to be assuming people who don't like monthly auto saves all want to cheat or something.
I don't think that's been implied at all.
I don't get why people lack the discipline to not cheat in the first place. When I read here that people want this mode so they don't cheat, well the fault isn't in the game, it's in the player.
It's great for multiplayer and this sort of thing, but for a single player game, it seems odd that people are getting angry about the game and not angry at themselves for lacking discipline in the first place. I just don't get it.
