So I've crashed six time on mission #1 to date (the one where you get betrayed by miners).
My first crash when I was about to finish it...
After the sixth crash it hit me... Auto save the last 3 rounds.

But seriously the game is unstable AF. Some in QA messed up real bad and could you please please make it stable.

Sorry if i'm pissy...

I'm going add my request here that there be an in-mission autosave so that you can recover from game freezes/crashes.
Or even just so I can stop playing to take my kids to bed.

You can, thankfully, save manually mid-mission at least.

Sometimes. I tried to save manually in the middle of Liberation: Panzyr and it wouldn't let me. This was because I wanted to make sure to lock in my progress before my laptop battery died on me. When it didn't work, I was concerned and a bit upset when my machine shut down. Fortunately, when I plugged in my machine and turned it back on, the game was still there and running.

I think I've saved mid-mission before, but this particular time it was in the middle of a character's turn (I had moved, but not yet fired as it was my last pilot of the round) so there may be something about saving in the middle of a pilot's action.

If you look at the load game screen, there's a save checkpoint at every financial report and at the major events. It would be nice to have a 'Battle Save' that updates at the end of each round.

I'd prefer for them to fix the stability as opposed to giving you an opportunity to save scum. I'm an XCOM save scum addict and I can't take that kind of temptation.

Just need an Ironman mode to handle no save scumming. But without autosaves, you can already just end process your way out of a bad mission and redo it. Even if there were 0 crashes or hangs, I'd still prefer a single file combat autosave that gets overwritten after every turn.

I'll have to look into the mid-combat manual saves.
