When I turn the option on or off, my planes (bombers) still auto evac after dropping their payload.

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
Try toggling it again and maybe restart the game in between. I turned it off once and it's been working correctly after that. It's been well worth it too at least with some planes that can do a lot more than just drop their light/medium loads.
