Hi, I've started as Theodoros and wanted to try the "get in HRE by no-CB the Frisia" and so I DoW it. After the no-CB, I've been recruiting navy and soldiers to be sure to win the war (Frisia and allies had double my numbers in soldiers) but I was white peaced in 1448 without any reason. War score was 0%, enthousiasm was medium for every country involved... I don't understand how and why this happened. Does anyone have a clue ? I'm pretty salty because I had the event for a 100 tradition general (0/5/1/2 was awesome).

Anyhow easiest to win that war is going over forcelimit, getting mil tech 4 quickly (you have a good ruler!) and asking for mil. access all the way there... it's tedious as you might have to increase relations but it works.
There is a more dank way involving Condottieri though... :D

I was sure it was 1448 when I got white peaced but I could be wrong by a few months

I was planning to let them invade by navy on my little country to stackwipe them but I guess it's time to travel Lithuania on my own and go seek battle

Ii's more likely I remembered the wrong date. Anyway after the 7th try, I managed to attack East Frisia while he was only allied to Liege. I didn't even had to go over force limit, and my king became a 2/4/0/0 general, so it was perfect (except that he died while travelling thru Lithuania so there's that) and before I vassalized east Frisia, he was attacked by 3 of his neighbors ; I was able to core it all before the end of the war and ally Muscovy.

Somehow it worked, thanks you very much ! :D

Can also just ask for access for a nation near target country and ship troops there. Not immediately adjacent, usually 2 countries away so target doesn't just walk over and kill your guys. You have to do this after declaring rather than before so you don't get exiled.

Then when you have everyone shipped over you can ask for access to adjacent country and walk in.

Also IIRC most war-like actions reset the timer so you can always go for blockade/pick a fight using 1 cog or something to extend it too, but usually you want to win faster rather than slower.

Do AI v AI wars get this? Thinking specifically of every time France DOW's someone in Africa and nothing happens for 70 years.

They do but AI usually blockades for war score or winds up getting some random territory occupied for the duration so the rule doesn't apply.

Edit:

If you want to do some cheese you can become vassal of Crimea, get independence support --> take their land. Switch to Sunni using rebels immediately and ally the Ottomans. Very different way to approach Gothic Invasion but it will work.

My problem with East Frisia is, how do you core it? Can't distance annex OPM subjects and everything else near them is larger or HRE. I guess you could non-cobell vassal someone with 2 provinces...pretty AE expensive but would let you annex and join HRE if you don't get killed by Crimea first.

I annexed provinces from the countries that attacked East Frisia before he became my vassal, then I diplo-annex East Frisia. Only problem then is to befriend Austria to join HRE while not being attacked because Muscovy rarely joins defensive calls

You can use Condottieri and sit ontop of him when you declare war to avoid blackflagging aswell. Although in this case I suppose you'd want to DoW ASAP to avoid him getting more allies.

I don't find it reliable to get condotierri going that early, unless you mean renting them to some AI and then using/swapping them back?

Rent to some AI, get mil. access and walk them ontop of the country, DoW that country, revoke Condottieri and you don't get blackflagged. I don't think they stop drilling / raise maintenance either since you are effectively "neutral". Insta stackwhipe :)
They might still move them if you end up over the Supply Limit though

Wouldn't help in this scenario but there are plenty of cases where it's useful
