First of all, introduce a "ransom as soon as they can pay" option.
Second, while I'm at it, "assault as soon as ready" for sieges would be nice too.
Third, instead of auto stop plots have a more complex system like this:

Is the plotter or the target of the plot me, has a close relation to me, my direct vassal, has a seat on the council or a minor title in my realm or starred? If yes, notify me, I'll decide what to do.
Otherwise try to imprison them if they're in my realm, ignore if not. If they're in hiding, try to imprison them as soon as they get out of hiding (if they're still plotting).
If imprisonment was successful, ransom them as soon as they can pay.
If ransom is impossible, banish them if they have any money to confiscate.

Optionally it can also automatically place prisoners in oubliette or house arrest depending on the crime.

UPD. It can also still ask to end plot if the plotter is not in my realm or imprisonment failed and they're no longer in my realm (though in that case I wonder if there's any chance of it actually working, but anyway it would ask only if they're sure to agree, so no harm in trying).

And one addition: if the leader of the plot won't end the plot, the auto-stop function goes through the process of getting plot supporters to stop supporting the plot.

Or even just something that lets you set what types of plots to automatically end...I tend to let my nobles just go wild and scheme against each other rather than automatically force everyone to stop plotting (better they waste their resources killing each other than using them against me), but it gets annoying whenever I get a random murder plot against me and have to dig through the mess of plots to find the right one...

I would like a menu to customize these options rather than just have it all on or off. Every time a direct vassal gets a plot against them i don't want a notification, and i might have so many family members i don't really care about plots, but sometimes i will have a small family and will. There are times i don't want to try to imprison vassals, and if times i do i might want to keep them imprisoned.

There should be a list where you can customize individually if you want something done about plots against yourself, your close family, your dynasty members, your councilors , your direct vassals, your indirect vassals, your courtiers. with each thing i listed having a separate tick mark.

Then there would be what type of action to take e.g. ask to stop(don't try to imprison), ask to stop(if they don't stop then imprison) , imprison, notify, etc.

A threshold chance for imprisonment would also be nice (in my experience trying to arrest everyone often end up with civil wars unless you have good arrest chance), so you can not try to arrest people if you have less than x% chance of capture.

And then also what to do with imprisonment, house arrest, normal dungeon, oubliette and then keep imprisoned, ransom/banish, only ransom, only banish, (possibly they could have divide it by rank or just whether or not a character is landed)
