Hello,

Is anyone encountering the issue when then check the auto upgrade box for any tanks, plane or naval models ?
I mean that when a research is finished that IS NOT into a naval/tank/plane model then a new model is still created but it is exactly the same than the previous one.
For consequences the current models that we were building move to deprecated even if this is the same model.
This is annoying because with this issue many fake upgraded models are created and pollute our list of models and make it quite difficult to handle what is up to date and what is not.
And unactivate it is quite painful as well especially for naval model which are very experience costly to rebuild from scratch when you reserch a new hull.

Do you already encounter this bug ? Is there a way to workaround it ? Is it a known issue ?

Thanks for reading and thanks for people that will answer and grant info :)
Thanks HOI4 team however for this fun game :)

I've seen this behaviour in previous versions of HOI4, so I don't think it is anything new. It wouldn't be so bad if there was genuine way to delete models rather than just a decommission button. Realistically there could do with being a way to delete a model that has no produced equipment in existence

I think its been this way since MTG, but most people didn't notice until NSB.

The game ougt to check the autoupgraded design before saving it if its identical too the previously one, and cancel it instead. AI probably switches to these loosing some production efficency in the process.

Unsure if I ever saw a bug report on it though, I never really thought of it as a problem, I usually just use it before upgrading to a new hull/chassi/airframe then uncheck it afterwards.
