I would like to see, when your fleet is set on aggressive, planet bombardment is set on no restrictions, your fleet enters another empires star system that you're at war with and after your fleet destroys all enemy fleet/ships and stations that it starts bombarding the planets in the system automatically. Not just go to the middle of the system and wait. Managing war campaigns would be easier when you have 2 or 3 fleets running around. This feature would be greatly appreciated..

I hope they also allow us to combine transports into fleets, and have a toggle for "auto-invade planets". It would need some sort of setting to define at what kind of enemy-to-friendly ratio the invasion happens.

With this, you could simply tell a fleet to go to an enemy system, where it would automatically destroy space defenses, bombard the planet, and invade. Meanwhile you could focus on other stuff, and direct the fleet to a different system when you see it idling.

This sort of automation would greatly help with the tedium of big late-game wars after you have broken the enemy fleets and just have 40 enemy planets and habitats to mop up.

EDIT: Apparently this is already a thing (see post below).

This exists. Simply set your armies' fleet to aggressive stance. It will follow your space navy and automatically invade any planets it can find. Once conquered, it will re-embark and continue to follow your navy.

Whoa, I did not know this. Thank you very much, I'll have to try this when I get home. :)

So I guess we are just missing the auto-bombardment then, as the OP suggested.

I found the auto-invade function for armies to be rather useless as they invade sooner than I would like, suffering too many looses, which in turn causes war exhaustion meaning I have less time to finish the war before being forced to.
