Suggestion 1:
A new auto-pause toggle, similar to the pause after completed ability. This one would pause whenever a character completes an action (functionally identical to pause after completing an ability, but also meaning that the game would pause and serve a message if one of your characters completes an autoattack. Currently, I don't believe there are any toggles that do this.)
Suggestion 2:
A game option toggle to automatically switch focus to the character in your party that caused the auto-pause function to trigger. Eg. If a party member's target is destroy, it automatically switches to the (or perhaps 'a') party member who no longer has a target. If a party member finishes an ability, the party member who did so is automatically selected.
Reasons for suggestion:
If these two features were to be implemented, it would result in a defacto "turn-based" mode as well as providing what I believe to be a pretty solid quality of life change through decreasing the amount of "purposeless" action (parsing what caused the pause from battle log, having to select proper character, having to constantly pause or switch between characters to try to keep track of abilities coming off cooldown).
