I have restarted playing HOI2 again and there are some things that can make the large scenarios easier for me. Sometimes I want to treat the large scenarios as a small scenario. The large ones can be too much sometimes.

So my suggestion is to make an auto mode for high ranking officials with commissions of 3 divisions or more. What do I mean?

High ranking officiers, eg air generals, admirals, and field marshalls (4-stars), should be able to go on auto-pilot via an extra parameter call campaign. This should be above missions. Here the player can assign the leader a campaign area of operation (AO) (eg. region or area). Here the the leader will operate on AI just as the enemy without player interference until it is reassigned another AO or the campaign is set to none.

The leader will use the AI to beat the enemy in that AO.

However, there must be certain requirements for this to happen.
1. The political system must allow freedom for leaders to operate independently. Freedom < 5 and Free Market < 5.

2. A campaign preparation time be alloted to prepare units to full strength before engaging enemy. This means to show a campaign starting time. Also the campaign will last a year, if not ended before then. If extension is needed then the campaign will prompt for continuation of removal of the campaign.

3. The economy must be ready to provide resources for the AI leader which shall have priority over resources before others.

Doing this will help me focus units on other AOs. Like playing Russia and have to focus on Eastern Europe and allow AI to take care of Eastern Asia.
Like playing USA and have to focus on Western Europe and allow AI to take care of Pacific.

I would enjoy the game better.

Later the AI leader can have a staff under itself and recruit automatically other leaders to work in the AO.

This assignation of an 'Area of Operations' (AO) (a Region) along with an indication about offensive/deffensive/garrison could also be applied to the allies, instead of the 'military control' which is too unrealistic (and bugged)
Instead of controlling every single unit of your allies, you only assign then an AO
Examples:
for Spain you assign 'offensive in Spain' and they would try to take Gibraltar
for Slovakia you assign 'garrison in Poland'
