Having tried the demo, I am quite pleased with EU4 and have to say its a completely different beast than EU3 in many ways. Was a bit overwhelming at first, but once I figured out trade and stuff it became quite fine.
The only thing that I am not quite happy with is building. Even with the new interface which makes it much much simpler than in previous titles, I still find it annoying. Probably because there are too many buildings. If all your provinces are concentrated, then its not much of a problem, but having to scroll from mainland Portugal to Azores, Cape Verde, Fernando Po, Capetown to build stuff... it gets annoying before 1520, and I am quite concerned how it will look by 1700 when you got half a continent as colonial empire somewhere. I would prefer to be able to delegate this clickfest joy to the AI if possible. This would minimize time waste on repetitive stuff and allow to focus on the game world and its development. Any if you can turn it on or off, then its win-win both for people who do not like this and those that like to click around.
