with a big empire going through every holding to upgrade every buildings can get annoying and eat up alot of time if i have the money i should be able to click a check mark next to like walls untill im out of money or i turn it off will keep bulding. or a auto build for all my holding in that country I can a put a set amount of gold in it and would build till that amount of goldis gone

maybe some people don want to micromanage every building/holding in like hre or ere we have enough micromanagement already. I spend more time going through all my holdings and building then anything else

I can't build in my vassal's counties, only in mine, so I *want* the micro headache you're describing. Does that come with higher crown authority?

I don't know about having an "auto build", as such, that does take away some of the strategizing. But I'd love to have a build queue, where I line up stuff to build, which each item starting as soon as the holding is not building something else and I have enough money.

I could live with a build q, better then going back and forth if i can q up 5 builds in each holding that would cay back on micromanagement

No problem, I'm just wondering how you got enough holdings that managing the slow as molasses building rates actually became a headache. I'm jealous, I can only handle 10-12.

That just kills the micromanagement aspect of your demesne.

EXACTLY! I would like to queue up the improvements, and if I have the funds let the Ai build them. Another useful item would be to alert me when I can make improvements to my vassals within your County (not the same as the notices for my own demense).

how I or anyone else plays the game does not make how they play wrong, like I love when ppl in mmo's tell other people your playing the game wrong. Everyone has their own style just cuz its diffrent from yours does not make it wrong. an most strgy games have a build q or auto build

I never said it's different from my own, but if you missed how you acquired twenty four (24!) holdings, you're doing it wrong - putting too much time focusing on something that's marginal. You don't need to get passive-aggressive about it >_>

"Most strategy games" are not grand strategies. This game is about realism, and a queue or an auto-build isn't realistic.

I love this game but its far from realistic And i know this is a Grand strgy, it's not realistic the pope has no real power and during this time the pope had power, the pope is picked by the college, the pope in MEDIEVAL II: TOTAL WAR is more realistic. the holding system is not realistic the ruler or king held 2/3 of all holding then giveing the rest of the land out. a ruler should be able to create a empire using anyone , rulers who won wars ect... built empires , if i choose to take over the whole map i should be able to using who ever i choose and if i build a empire out of nothing and it took 400 years and heirs that would be realistic. so lets not use the realism line. lets see if i had a alliance with france and they joined a war to help me they would send more then a few hundred the list goes how about how things dont have realism and its a game, using frace to take over the whole map is not realism it never happened. so anyting that happens in this game that did not follow history is not realistic

Within the mechanics (without cheating) in the vanilla game, it is extremely rare to have more than 10-12 holdings at any point. While you CAN build stuff in them, I'm not counting any sub-county holdings you've directly vassalized as the AI will build things in these holdings out of its own pocket (the build order is moddable as well!) The developers clearly felt that the UI was sufficient to manage 10-12 holdings without imposing an undue amount of strain on the players.

I use the word "undue" very particularly. I feel, and I believe many of the developers and other players agree with me, that part of the challenge and realism of the game is having "too much to do" when your reach extends your grasp. Conquer the whole world and have only single county counts as your vassals to keep anyone from getting too powerful? You're gonna get swamped with messages making the game unplayable unless you give out some titles and delegate authority. In short, IMO it's a design feature of the game and I wouldn't expect it to get changed in vanilla.

That said, the UI is moddable. Repost this in the modding forum and someone might pick up your request (maybe someone already has). Failing that, you could always do it yourself.

Quick edit: Personally I wouldn't use such a feature because it probably necessitate MORE micromanagement, not less, in a real time strategy game. What if you suddenly found yourself needing to bribe people for a plot or hire mercs and didn't have enough money to do that AND maintain your construction queues. You'd have to go through and individually pause/cancel all of your queues. Considering that would likely happen a lot, you'd probably find yourself on your holding screens a lot more than if you had no queue at all.
