The Habsburg Empire is split up between two brothers (iirc, but relatives nonetheless) at the time of gamestart. They used this gamey tactic a lot to be able to get more PUs, and basically cut Infamy in half. EU3 is woefully unequipped to model this, how will EU4 handle this, if at all?

(It is my opinion that it shouldn't try to model this, except maybe with a +4 Decentralization('s equivalent) or something like that.)

Opinions?

First of all, I wouldn't call historical things 'gamey'. :p

Second, if they provide a basic family tree than this could be partially modeled. Otherwise, number if royal marriages is unlimited, so I doubt this will be a factor.

I called it gamey, because it's a great idea that none of the other countries did. :) Just like what the infamous "MrHuman" player, who shows up in singleplayer games, would do.

Overall i think the player should have a greater control over creating "Hapsburg" like dynasties, not to make it easier mind you, simply to give a player a clearer means to accomplishing such a challenge.

id like to see some missions triggered by dynasties.

IE Chuck of scotland is related to Norris of Frisia. Thus chuck gets a mission against norris to form a personal union to unite the branches of the family
