Thats easy to acomplish, download the work i been doing some months ago, its complete separated in a folder, i couldn't manage to get Models from Interface folder to load from the MOD folder, but the rest is working ok.

Basically what you have to do is create a new folder, PUT only things that are modified in there, and then create a shortcut to load that MOD, the files that cant be found on the MOD folder will be loaded from default game.

That way the mod wouldnt be forcing ahistoricity on anyone but keeping the option open for the player and for the AI if they choose the second option in the opening event...

change the name of the folder and eug and put them in the seneriao folder
i did that with risk mod os i could test my inc. file changes

I said MOSTLY finished, there are some small things left. I will talk to usnorwaystudent and ask him if we can have a seperate scenario.


What spellings and gramatical errors are there??? Dont we have ALOT of details already. In the next patch we are putting in some enemy unit icons, the slipped away in the original.

I have compiled an event that makes German Provinces Austrias national Provinces if you choose to conquer germany instead of becomeing allies.....!

I haven't playes the Austria mod, yet. But I will (downloaded it yesterday).

Regarding the event: If all German provinces are core provincves of Austria, they can no longer release Germany as a puppet. IMHO Germany as a puppet is much more fitting, than as home territory for Austria.

Cool mod although it has some problems.
Firstly, you added cores to Austria for all provinces of former Austrian empire?
That means you completely neglected nationalism.
Ok I understand Hungarian cores, after all this is the empire where Ausrians and Hungarians supposedly share power, but everyone else - Slavs, Italians, Romanians - what's wrong with them that they so willingly obey the new order for them? Seems like your mod is not only "Austrian empire mod" but also "no nationalism mod".

Secondly, as was stated earlier, there is simply no way Serbs could revolt against pre-1945 Yugoslavia. Just imagine British separating from the British Empire. Doesn't make much sense really :)

Thirdly, how is Belgrade Austrian?

Belgrade is not Austrian, I know about the serb thing.
Maybe it isnt historical.

I dont think that the croats and slovenes were super happy with Yugoslavia.
And the Italians is a-historical but:
This mod isnt meant to be Historical, It is meant to offer some fun to the Player. I dont think that the first coup in Czechosovakia could have been pulled off with the Austrian economy.

ITS FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! F-U-N NOT Historical. If i would have placed the startb year in 1930 it would have been more possible because of the depression.

EDIT: We could change the serbian nationalists ti Serbian revolters or something. Some people are almost always willing to take up arms against the current governement.

Sorry I didnt mean to make it seem like i didnt appreciate your Mod...

I do - its great; :D.

I just dont like that it overwrites the standard GC. I think perhaps if you wish to have it as the ordinary GC then you should swap the A and B choices in the very first event and make the rest of the events dependant upon the new choice B being selected.

Otherwise make it in a Mod-Dir?

I have a thought about how it should go.

Make the "Welcome" event completely harmless with only one choice - "A = Onward to Glory!" and make its effects perhaps a slight manpower increase and dissent decrease.
Next event should be bringing Otto Von Habsburg into power...for example = Otto backed by some wealthy Swiss landowners/merchants hires from Germany a few infantry/cavalry and perhaps a tank division and enters Austria to demand his throne... Choice A should be "No Rebuff the Usurper!" which should really have no discernable affect except to sour relations with germany a bit and sleep all the other events... Choice B should be "Accept his Majestys' demands" which would perhaps add a division or two, some cash/manpower, and have the effect the old "welcome" event has, and perhaps improve relations with Germany and Switzerland.

Then have the "Resurgent Empire" event fire after that saying now that the Swiss backed Emperor (I think he should be Paternal Autocrat not Facist) is in control and his new Chancellor (I think Karl Schussnigg should be ousted in the coup and another more cooperative Chancellor -Paternal Autocrat- put in his place; perhaps have Schussnigg demoted to Foreign Minister or something?) they have begun plans to re-establish Austrian hegemony over the Balkans with same choices that you have now.

The Czechoslovakian crisis should be resolved as follows: fire event which details the fragile state of the Czech-Slovak union and asks wether Austria would want to throw the proverbial spanner into the works - A = Yes, Let us stir up some trouble! ; B = No, Leave the Czechs alone for now!.
Choice A should an event which asks if you want to fund a Slovak nationalist revolution; and choice B is self explanatory.
Next (after the Czechs get an event saying the Slovaks have declared independence) the Slovaks, after say 3 months of "civil war" should get an event which makes them ask for more direct aid from Austria IE a declaration of war on the Czech Government; and Austria then gets the "Slovaks ask us to declare war" event which again should be self explanatory - Austria declares war.
After a month or so the Czech Goverment should get an event asking them to choose between begging for peace with Austria/Slovakia or fighting to the death. Again Austria will an event triggerred from Czechia suing for peace where Austria can demand annexation of Czechia and Slovak independence or puppeting of Czechia (if puppeted the Czech state should become just the Czech Republic with new tag/flag) and independence of Slovakia.

The Hungarian events should probably again be a bit more strung out than they are; the annexation of Czechia and an "allied" Austrian/Slovakian menace should cause a "Civil Disorder" event in Hungary where dissent goes up, manpower goes down and there are some revolts (to represent rioting of those who fear Austria and demand the Government do something about it and the pro-austrian lobby revolting against Government.
This should trigger a "Civil War in Hungary" event in Austria (and maybe Slovakia also?) where Austria can choose to aid the pro-austrian lobby and enter the civil war to regain the Hungarian throne or leave well enough alone.
Once Hungary is shattered by Austria (and Slovakia if they help) the normal Hungarian annexation events should fire (with an amendment forcing Slovakia to ceed any provinces they have captures to Austria) and Austria should become Austria-Hungary (with new tag/flag?).

Next is the Yugoslavian question.
I think it would be more plausible for Slovenian/Croat rebels to join with Austria at the beginning (in line with the gaining Craot/Slovene leaders/tech teams events later) and then later if Austria does well (ie captures Zagreb, Sarejevo, and Belgrade) an event could fire which asks Austria to fund a Serbian uprising - giving Austria some Serb divisions.
Upon Yugoslavias annexation the independence of Serbia should happen as normal and as should the gaining of the Slovenian/Croat leaders/ministers/tech teams.
Again also I believe the Romanian events should fire as normal; they seem to be generally ok; and the annexation of Slovakia events should occur as normal.

Finally I dont think Austria should get Milan; I think Austria should press for it but then compromise with (but keep the claim) Italy and let them keep Milan but take Trento and Venice.
Also about "nationalism" - is it possible to cause partisan activity in a province by event? If it is then you could use that to simulate "nationalism" in spite of the claims...

Really nice, fun mod -- thanks for this m8 :)

One thing I noticed is that Italy declares war, which I'm sure has been noted in this thread, I've just not seen it.

Things to improve if you decide to further refine this cool mod:

Names for specific Austrian units, instead of just "basic interceptor", etc. I suppose we'd have to research what the names would be -- also what ship names would be in the new Austro Hungarian empire, planes, tanks, etc.

But this is a brilliant start, and has me playing HOI II again! Cheers, definitely worth the download.

I've played the mod 'till 1938, Yesterday. It worked very well and I had lots of fun.

Some small points:
The Romania surrender event didn't fire for me, as I had annexed them on 18th of October, reading the event it fires on the 20th of October or later. I don't know why it doesn't fire earlier, but maybe there's a good reason for that.
After the annexation of the Czechs you get some equipment and tech teams, should't you get the Blueprints, too?

Some of the reasearch teams have typos in their names or do not sound really German:
Skodaa should be Skoda
Wien Militärischer Arsenal should be Militärisches Arsenal Wien or Wiener Militärarsenal
Split Flottenschiffwerft should be Marinewerft Split or something.
Those last two just don't sound right. (I am German, I ought to know about the sound, though I don't know whether there ever was an Austrian Corporation with a similiar name as one of those)

Up to know it was fun, let's see how the war develops.

The German event 85002 "Germany Wishes Alliance" can trigger while Austria is still at war with Romania, thus bringing Germany to war. I don't know whether this is a problem, but I think it would be better to change the triggers, so that Germany only offers an alliance while Austria is at peace.

I dont feel like making alot of changes to the Austria mod right now, you coud if you want. Wight now I want 1.1 out and to start with the France mod.

Its not major changes - just a minor reworking of some of the event sequence to make it more plausible...

I really think you ought to complete the Austrian Empire Mod before you go onto anything else.
