I´m currently playing my first game as Austria.

The austrian ruler Albrecht had an event which made Bohemia his vassal (and the ruler of Bohemia was "Albrecht Habsbursky" or similar. Is that the same person? If so it is strange that Albrecht Habsbursky was ruling Bohemia some time after Albrecht (of Austria) died and was replaced.

Hungary became a vassal too, but only for a short time. I selected "Protect Ladislaus claim on the hungarian throne" to avoid Hungary being ruled by a polish king. Through that event I gained many cores on the whole of Hungary and on currently venecian Croatia. But what am I supposed to do? Hungary had many rebels rebelling and I assume that the rebels are those who oppose the nationalist rule and so would be my friends. However Hungary is still in my alliance and is granting me military access, so if I would need to occupy Hungary to trigger the next event I would need to ban them first from the alliance and cancel the military access and take the stability hits before I can declare war and invade. Or is there another option to one day gain magyar culture and inherit the lands?

IF I would declare war and win I still have no magyar culture even if I have cores on hungary - how would I get the culture?
bye
Michael

There are some pretty crazy set ups regarding Austria and its neighbours. Many times the same Archduke is ruling three or four countries fighting against each other.

Regarding Hungary, you should wait until the death of King Lajos II, when you get the chance to claim the crown as he was your brother-in-law, and split the country with the Ottos for reduced BBs.

But what to do now in 1440 when they break the vassalage?
I can accept the polish king or support Ladislaus and get all the cores on Hungary.

If I select support Ladislaus and just do NOTHING would then later the even in which Austria inherit Hungarys cores and receive the culture still come?

Yes, if you want to follow history you have to let them go now. Ladislaus postumus was an infant, that was born after his father had died, and hence the nickname. The pressure from Hungary and Bohemia on Austria to release him was too high. You will get Hungary and Bohemia in 1526 when Lajos II dies at battle. When in doubt remember that option_a is the historic one.

Regarding the Poland candidate, he was defeated. If he is in the throne you should defeat him. Otherwise you can support the loyalists, and then let them go their way.
