That 'Australien' may suggest that it would be a Germanic empire. Ah, the German imperialism, always the same.
The idea is ridiculous ofc. Btw, why some1 should colonize useless (at the game time frame) Australia if there are Americas, India, and last but not least, East Indies?

It's considered an island continent as it is on it's own tectonic plate as a continent but completely surrounded by water as an island.

I don't think Australia should be a kingdom at all. It became a penal colony and it should be just that if colonised by the British.

I think this is a terrible idea because it is incredibly historically inaccurate.

I think he is talking about the Austra-Aliens! Why cant we have a super high tech Aboriginal invasion? But in all seriousness it would be kinda cool to have Australian tags, with the main culture becoming whatever it is who managed to colonize and lose the colony to said rebels. Lets face it, Australians are just laid back Englishmen

Australia never was an empire, and it might never become one(thou no one of us is to know what the future brings). And Eu4 is more or less historical game. Also EU4 have whole world included. It is not like CKII, when you don't know what happens in the ROTW. Things are happening in asia and americas. Australia back in 1444, was just bunch of wildmen, realy sparesly populated, place. Propably whole population of australia in 1444 was lower than population of small european city. Even right now, poland have bigger population than australia. Aborigens invading europe, is much more fantasy, than aztec invasion(at least aztecs had the numbers that would allow them to do something like this).

In australia, there are about fife hundred thousands(at least wiki says so on site about australia) of aborigens right now. Quite big population imo, considering australia is just a big desert island, with only habitable places being on shore.

More plausible would be chinese invasion.
