Japanese industries flourish, and it's dependance on foreign imports is next to 0%.

The Imperialist navy has acquired 3 new battleships of a new, secret class. Many carriers are being added, and a large airforce is being developed to secure Japanese colonial assets.

A non-aggression pact has been secured with both the USSR and the USA until 1942, ensuring Japanese colonial plans will remain un-hindered.

However, Russian aggression in Europe, and it's refusal to accept a peaceful pact may lead to a disastrous end to the Soviet empire.

Germanies true ambitions have shown there ugly head. Germany annexed Austria and then moved on Checks. Luckily a hasty diplomatic efforted adverted war and secured peace in our time.

The United Kingdom though is not placing its future in hitlers hands, we simply do not trust him. It has not gone unnoticed that Germany chose the Y plan, which is designed to challange our navy in the distant future. A mighty military buildup continues at an ever accelerating pace. One more wrong step by the aixs powers could unlesh a war which has not been seen in 25 years.

The entire British commonwealth stands ready to opposes this blatant agression. Long live Britania, Britania rules the waves.

Our great Emperor has released another speech:

"The Imperialist armed forces will not stand back and allow the world to teeter over the brink! We will mobilise our forces, and destroy Communist China, the root of all evil!"

*Note: Statement was issued with gun to head*

Decode this message to see if you can reveal Japan's plans:

"The United Kingdom will be pwned!"

The War of our time has begun.

Valiant polish forces hang onto Warsaw after being defeated all over poland. The forces have rallied in and aorund warsaw for one last stand against the evil oppressors. One German panzer attack was defeated, sending 12 panzers running away. They should know better then to attack across a river and into a heavily fortified urban centre.

On the Western front. both Beligum and the Netherlands defences have been breached, but stronger allied resistance is slowing the germans down consdieralby. At present the french border has not been penertrated, and a massive counter attack is under war to drive the German forces out of belgium. Time will tell if we succeed.

On the oceans the Royal navy is supreme, there have been no challenges as of yet.

In the air the Royal Air Force outnumbers its puny german opposition. All major engagements have been victories for the RAF. It would take a brave fool to try and cross this English channel.

Session ended after 1 month of war. Next session tonight for a few more months hopefully.

Citing unprovoked trading of cotten over the Chinese/Sinkiang border, the Empire has decided to strike back.

War has been declared, and death star, err, motorised divisions are being mobilised.

I suggest in the interests of game play that you relinquish Poland and Fr - looking at the map we may have a short game on our hands.

Can understand why Troy tried to do both at once with human player either side of Germany??

See you at 9pm.

Should be easy for Germany to win on both fronts, no reason why he can't handle it.

Taking Warsaw just needs an attack with inf with no rivers, simply.

I'm sure Munster can handleit.

I've edited in the ever-failing UK Manpower events, so that should be fixed up for now. One thing to note is that the UK Manpower monthly gain still seems on the low side (but then as the Soviets my views of manpower are are little on the high side) ;) The UK does however, have a useful reserve of manpower after the events, which I altered further to take into consideration the time we've been at war where the manpower did not increase as it should have.

I had to enter the game in Single Player to edit in the events manually, so the AI will have done its normal trick of setting up convoys with no transports and everyone should check their set up to make sure thats all its done.

If any of you guys want some hints on how this stuff is done, feel free to ask by the way. It's really pretty simple stuff.

See everyone tonight for the session which should see the end of Poland, and perhaps a collapse in the west. Whilst Mike assures me of the threat of his current counterattack, I back the Germans rather than the assorted Belgian/Dutch/French rabble... The Landsers will need all the experience they can get to steel themselves for the true test in the east...

We should allow tech trades for resources..unlike the big countries Italy just does not have the resources to even trade at 3-1. Even when I was trading all I could do was maintain Steel and Coal. When I went to war with yugo I had no oil or Rubber. I was trying to stockpile but its impossible with such a small resource base. In a couple of months I will have zero resources as I am currently converting 450 coal into oil and rubber. I have the smallest economy, army and resource base and I will not even be able to maintain my puny economy without help from Germany. What are your thoughts on Allowing resource techs trades up to say .75 conversion rates for oil and rubber...The Italian economy is probably the only country that requires this. Italy will be out of the game soon enough because their tech base is so slow no need to screw me while I am still in the war :)

I'd have thought the events for trade from Germany, and your current war with Yugoslavia would have helped here, but perhaps we can revist that rule. My thinking about suggesting it was that I find it completely unhistorical that Japan would, for example, pump up Germany and Italy with oil and rubber, or that the United Kingdom would supply the Soviet Union with an endless stream of rubber.

Still, less talk, more sending Fascists to the gulags & salt mines in tonights game!

I got no trade from germany cause germany was getting screwed....normally we have 4-1 trades which lets you beat minors but mike was holding back rubber from teh world market and the usa was not trading oil either..net result...no rubber or oil on the world market

One thing i would like to point out. In 0.83 there are pre-set convoys which give rubber and other resources to my CW nations. After this allocation is gone i proably have 200-250 rubber spare per day. When i did trade rubber on the world market to help out the axis i ran down my rubber supply from 99K to 50K. So i traded rubber at my own expense to help the axis. Had germany gone all out subs i could have been in trouble. Now i had every bit of spare rubber in my empire comming to the UK. I only traded 300 rubber on the world market and that was enough to bring me down to 50k in under a year. So plz stop your complaining at me major when i suffered to help yous out, when really i should not have even traded the rubber since i needed nothing.

Now i agree that there are resources problems. Even if the US didnt trade for rubber which they are rightly allowed to meet there own needs. (the US does have enough oil but i would like 99k or rubber just in case if i was the US player as insurance) There would still be insufficent rubber for everyone unless the UK runs down its own stock as well, like i have done this game.

What i suggest is maye the US can trade for rubber by putting lots of oil on the market. Or not trading for rubber, put a bit of oil on the market and allow the UK to supply the US with some rubber. This should greatly ease the WM preasures.

No player has traded for anything they dont need this game. Uk didnt need anything. The US only needs rubber which it lacks to feed it huge IC. Russia does need Rubber as well.

But as Italy its alway hard to get enough of everything, thats why italy is hard. I know the feeling, and now maybe more people understand that Italy and Germany are not so easy to mangage and why italy needs a little help.

That said though, as UK i am under alot of preasure now that France has fallen. Time will tell.

Not having a go at you Mike...in the Four years up till war I have been unable to stockpile oil or rubber...both zero. You would think before going to war you would stockpile some resources but just havnt been able to get any. some of the minors trade at 4-1..they get first pick. Italians should be able to trade at 4-1. They are lucky to have 150 to trade anyway at least they would get something. I expect it to be difficult but not ridculous.

Ooooohhhhh, 99k to 50k!

The UK makes like 900 rubber, how on earth can your allies be using so much?

Your fault for giving so much to the CW.

And your trading rubber on WM did nothing from what I saw.

Hmmm Jap IQ sunddenly dropped to below 20. My trades with my allies was pre-set at the start of the game, i will not sacrifice my allies for the axis. In core 0.83 UK dose not get as much rubber as normal HOI. In any event i should not have to put any rubber on the world market its from my hard fought empire, and should not be given away. Competent axis players wouldnt need to beg for resources, newbs. Hehehehe take that axis.
